Randi's horses in PV are very nice and well taken care of, you can see on her website Randi's happy horses.  Our trip is getting closer so we will see everybody in a few weeks, that is if I survive the trips to the mall shopping for clothes.

Southern California, San Fernando Valley to be exact.  Very hot now but this us just practice for Mexico in the summer.  It will be a great trip though.  We have gone down a few times and watched the Splendor leave so that really has us going.  Have a good trip down to Long Beach, we will be at the Residence Inn on 8/22 to kick start the vacation off.  Looking forward to seeing everybody on that sailing.

Sure wish I was on that cruise.. Then I wouldn't have to wait as long.  So few people come to my roll call that it moved to page 2.  The town of Woodland is nearby just west of Sacramento so I thought you might be near me.  We live in Brentwood and everyone thinks we are in so. Ca.   This is a confusing state!    Marlene

Also going to be on this cruise and also from Oregon - can't wait.  This will be our second cruise (Carnival Paradise before when they were a non-smoking ship).  We are booked in a Spa balcony cabin on deck 11.  Only had a window on the last cruise so the balcony should be nice.  Now I'm doing research to figure out what we will do in port.

Welcome fellow Oregonian, I want  to  get a pass to the Thalassotherapy pool for my wife, I've heard the cost is approx $150.00 for the week, I've called Carnival and they can't answer that one for me, do you have any idea?.

My wife and I are staying in a Balcony room, this is my second cruise, first with Carnival, my wifes 4th...are you traveling with family?

If it suits you, perhaps you can call and upgrade to S8. Since we have 4 [wife and two kids] in one cabin, our choices are fairly limited as only a few non-suite cabins handle that many. The Spa Cabins accommodated our needs. We really aren't "spa people" but will definitely take advantage of the saunas, pools and the 2 free fitness classes [yoga, palates, & tai-chi]. ~John

The Spa pass for non-spa cabin cruisers is $35 per person per day or $150 for the 7 days. For you and your wife it would be $70/day or $300/week. That's a whole lot of money to pay for a glorified hot tub, which is what the Thalassotherapy pool is. I know, it looks like a pool in which you can swim, but it's a hot tub with a really funky and uncomfortable seating system in one part of it and scary dragons hanging overhead. I'd say total capacity is about 20. I used it a few times and was probably less relaxed than when I went in because of all the people that were using the area without a pass, trying to turn it into a party area.

If you're contemplating buying a pass, ask for a tour on the first day and see if the steam rooms and hot tub are worth it to you.

Hi all!  Only a month to go...  our family will be cruising for the 3rd time and will be  celebrating sons 19th birthday and our 20th anniversary this trip!  We live in SoCal...

Welcome aboard, where are you from in so cal?  We are in the valley, hot as heck isn't it?  Well, we are about 1 month away and I know we are all getting excited.  We are celebrating 1 birthday and a 10th anniversary while we are at sea, might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
