Hey, 4bolts, we'll be staying at the Holiday Inn in November before the Spirit. Just booked the snooze and cruise yesterday. We are discussing coming in a day early to sightsee. We've been to the zoo already. Do you know what museum the Da Vinci exhibit is at? (terrible grammar, that) and any suggestions for what we should do?  Remember, DH is in a wheelchair. Thanks.

Suzie, I don't know about the exhibit but here is the website for the museum of art.  www.sdmart.org . I'll ask around if it isn't in this museum and if I can find you discounted tickets or at least a coupon. Are you all entitled to come on to a military base?

No, Diane, even though I grew up on the sub base in Groton, I was never in the military and neither was my DH. Thanks for the info - I'll look it up.

Diane would you please email me with the pics of the Holiday Inn On the Bay...We are wondering if we could actually walk to the ship from the hotel.  Also, and ideas on discount coupons would be appreciated.  We'll be meeting our son and daughter and their families for a cruise on March 3, 2010
