With  3 ships in that day the port might be a little busy.  How do you find out what ships will be in port?  I would love to see what we are facing on the 14th.

Too. Bad. The bustle of multiple ships would have been kind of fun. Even with more than one ship in port the same number of people are clamoring to get on the Spirit. Thanks for the website.

Me Again.  Since we are only 98 days out I thought I would bump this thread hoping to add to the roll call for January 14th, 2010 to Mexico.

85 days and counting.  Who is going with us?

 We will be leaving cold, snowy, wintery Michigan behind and joining you on the Spirit to Mexico on January 14, 2010.   We are Bill/Marilyn and Larry and Phyllis from mid-state.

Glad to see that others are finally showing up.  What a great time of year to get away from the cold.  We are in Northern California near Sacramento.  Which will be cold for us but probably a warm spell for you.  Since my last post our group has increased 3 fold.  We are Jake, Fred, Marilou, Judy, Grace, and Kim.  We are aft in balcony rooms on Empress deck.

Have you decided on any excursions yet?  Except for the Dolphin Swim in Zihautaneo (sp) we have not decided on anything.  We would like to see the Cliff divers in Acapulco but it does not look like Carnival is offering anything that is compatible to our revised schedule.  Can't Wait!

Hi, Jake. This is Karla. Here are two more travelers anxious to get on the Spirit 1/14/2010.  My husband Kevin and I will be flying down that  morning from Vallejo, CA (35 miles NE of San Francisco).  This will be our 9th cruise with Carnival, but our first cruise on the Spirit.  Can't wait!!   

 

Hey Karla: Welcome aboard! Most of our group of 6 live in Winters. I had worked in Vallejo for a couple of years but was transfered back to Sacramento. Where are you staying on the ship and what excursions do you and Kevin have planned?

Hi again.  We're going to be on the Riviera deck forward.  Haven't picked out the exact excusions yet.  In Acapulco we want to see the cliff divers for sure.  I figured out that the Fort is just across the street from the cruise terminal, so we will just walk over on our own to check that out.  In Manzanillo we plan on doing a snorkeling excursion (it's also Kevin's birthday that day!)  Haven't decided what the plan is for Zihatenejo/Ixtapa yet.  How about your group?

Hey Karla- We are going to be on Empress Deck aft. The only excursions we have settled on for sure is the Dolphin Swim in Zihatenejo. We want to see the cliff divers in Acapulco as well, but the excursions that Carnival has going now are all dinner/evening type stuff and we leave at 5 PM. Hopefully they will adjust some times. Diane (another poster here) has given me the name and number of a reliable tour company in case we want to do something on our own. If you are interested I will give you the name. We are flying down the day before because most of our group want to go to the Maritime Museum in San Diego. We are staying at the Holiday inn directly across from the cruise ship terminal. We are also reserved to go to the Dinner club the last night of the cruise.

Hiya!  I have been looking at excursions but when I sign onto the "Plan Activities" section in My Reservations online, it only shows one in Ixtapa (for golf) and none in Acapulco.  What am I missing??  The website shows a whole bunch more if I don't go to My Reservations.   

Calico, I just tried it and had the same problem.  I think they might be working on it as Ixtapa still had only the golf option, but Manzanillo had been added with 8 options.  Nothing for Acapulco yet though.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I thought I was completely computer illiterate. I also emailed my Carnival agent lady and she gave me the number to the Excursion Help Desk, 1-800-845-2599, but I haven't called it yet. I was busy all day trying to get all my passport stuff together! When I find out, I'll post it in case anyone else is having this problem.
