    Dinner seating arrangements

I will be doing this cruise for my honeymoon, not really interested in sitting with a large group of people, will I be able to be seated at a small table (maybe seating for 4)?

I saw a table for two when we went last time. Might be able to call pvp and ask if they can help you out with this! Congrats!

You can request a smaller table- have your travel agent tell the cruise line it's your honeymoon. They definitely have tables for 4. On my first cruise  on Carnival( years ago) I was able to get a table for 2! Have a great honeymoon!

When you check in at the pier your sail and sign card will have the dining hall and the table number on it. When you get onboard your ship go to the dining hall and check out your table. If it is not the one you want you will have to check with the Matre di and see if you can change it. Don't wait too long because if the cruise is sold out there may not be a lot of tables to change with.

My husband and I cruised 1/5/09 on Fantasy and it was our 10 yr anniv. and they had no problem putting us at a table for 2. We tipped alittle to get, nothing over $10 but it was well worth it cause it was so great just having us 2 at the table. Not that I dont like meeting new people but our cruise was for our anniv so I wanted it that way. Enjoy your honeymoon cause the time flies being married. Happy Sailing! Cool

We were married on the Conquest and at the first dinner, DH and I were completely suprised to be seated with a woman cruising with her adult daughter.  They told us they had no problem with our wanting to switch tables (in fact, it was their suggestion!), so we asked the Maitre D' the next night and he sat us at a table for 2 in a quiet area near the front of the dining room.  It was very nice and we tipped him $10 on the last night of the cruise.

Now I'm wondering the same thing, We sailed years ago and we had a big table. Im taking my 2 kids and would like a table for 4. We're always so busy during the year, I was looking forward to a nice family dinner every night. I didn't even think to ask my PVP. Guess I should call and check.

You can just ask the Maitre D' when you get there, if you like.

Good luck with that!! I just tried that and found all entrances to the dining room closed before dinner. I was so frustrated that I gave up. Luckily, we had an awesome table our party of 9 with a view of the water at the back of the ship. The last night at dinner, it was just beginning sunset and my son noticed a huge school(or group) of dolphins swimming w/ the ship and they were doing huge flips out of the water for all of us. It was absolutely amazing!!!

    Re: Dinner seating arrangements

I would request a table for 2 as soon as possiable & let them know it is your honeymoon. When we got married on the Celebration our agent requested a table for 2, but we got one for 4.  We got it changed no problem, but we had to also change the time because there were not many 2 tables.  We felt like if we could not have  2 table, one with a lot of people would be better.  With 2 couples, it would seem impolite, not to engage in small talk, but you might be able to "get lost in the crowd". You will enjoy on matter what, you will be with the one you love. Have fun & a great marrage....... try to get on the Newlywed - No So Newlywed game, its fun.  Check the cruise capers, I think it was held on the 1st sea day.

I wouldn't wait until I boarded, I would contact your pvp asap.  If there are tables for two and I have seen them on a lot of the ships, they should be able to place you at one considering you are on your honeymoon.  Best wishes on your marriage and your cruise.
