We are booked for the 9/6/09 sailing of the Legend!  Anyone else??

We will be on this cruise also.  Myself, husband, daughter, granddaughter and mother.  We are so excited to be in the double digets finally. This is our first cruise with carnival, can't wait to get away and relax.

This is our first cruise with Carnival too.  We've done 3 others in the past, all with different CLs.  Considering the way Carnival's price comes up way better than anyone else's these days, I really hope we like it a lot!

My husband and I are booked on the 9/6/09 sailing on Legend.  This is our 10th cruise - the second one on Carnival. We are so looking forward to this cruise!  We are from the Atlanta area.

 I'm glad to see some action on this thread.  The last cruise I went on, there was a whole bunch of us talking on a board beforehand, which was kinda cool.

It will be my husband (39) and me (35) on the cruise.  No kids.

This will be our 11th cruise ... 9th with Carnival.  We are just one short cruise to paradise away from being platinum.

From Atlanta? Very cool! My partner and I will be traveling with another couple.  We all live in the Atlanta area!  Where do you guys live?

My husband and I are both 47 yrs old.  Our grandaughter is 7 and looking forward to camp carnival.  I posted a roll call back in march and was really glad to see this post for roll call on 9/6/09.  At least I know we won't be alone on the ship

Nope, not alone.  Although being alone at all on a cruise ship is a rare occurrence to begin with, I guess.  lol  

I went on a cruise a few weeks ago,and because of talking on a board like this, it ended up being like a really big group of us who knew each other on the cruise.  That was a new experience for us and it was kinda nice.  Especially when the husbands were napping in the rooms lol, there was always someone to hang with if you weren't looking to be alone or someone to dance with at the clubs.

Of course, a cruise is a special kind of thing in general, maybe because you're stuck together on a ship.  There were people I ran into all week starting with the terminal.  It became a running joke.  After a couple of days I'd end up hearing someone yelling "Hey Robin" wherever I went.  lol Even on 7 mile beach!

DH and I are booked on this cruise. This will be our 5th cruise and 2nd with Carnival.

my husband, paul, and i will be cruising with you also!  it's our 5th anniversary.  we've been on disney twice (i have a 'thing' for disney) and royal carib once.  not bringing the daughter, looking forward to some grown up time!

have booked a few excursions already:  cave tubing in belize, beaching in roatan, and jet skiing in grand cayman.  i think my 'excursion' for cozumel will be shopping!

Yep. Have 3 cabins booked.  Will be celebrating 3 birthdays that week.  Any one familiar with Isla Roaton?  What's the port like?  Is the beach excursion worth it?

Denise - Good to know there will be more a couple more Disney people on the cruise.  :)

As for Roatan, I'm leaning towards not even getting off the ship that day. First I'm not thrilled about this whole Dengue Fever thing, which can be a heck of a thing to deal with (not cureable) and they have yet to invent any sort of insect repellent that does me any good for me.   It's also a short, early port and it's a formal night.  It's also the last of 4 port days in a row and experience tells me I may really want to just enjoy the ship and relax that day, but we'll see.

 In GC we'll likely just get off the ship and do the cheapo cab to Seven Mile Beach again.  The first time years ago we walked.  This last time we did an excursion  and it was very expensive.  People from our group ended up in th same place for a tiny fraction of the price we paid.  The second you get off the ship there are people offering excursions or rides for a lot less money) all over the place. 

 Belize being a place I don't know I will probably book a excursion but I have no idea what yet.

 I've never managed to get to the beach in Cozumel, so I think I may be aiming for that this time.  Maybe Playa Mia, which I was going to do the last time until the call to the port got cancelled.

 If you enjoy snorkeling, Roatan is a must see.  I was there 3 or 4 years ago and we booked a beach/snorkeling excursion with the ship.  We were sailing NCL that trip.  The coral and marine life was absolutely beautiful.  I am SCUBA certified and will be diving in Roatan in September.  I'm really looking forward to it.

If you aren't into snorkeling or diving, you may not be interested in getting off the ship.  Roatan is very poor island and although the natural scenery is beautiful, it is sort of sad as you travel around the island.
