    Jacksonville Zoo

We are going on Cruise 10/26 on Fascination which is a Monday.  We are driving down from Myrtle Beach, SC to Jacksonville on Saturday and plan on going to Zoo on Sunday.  Has anyone been there and would you recommend the train?  Does that take you all around the Zoo?

The zoo is a wonderful place.  It changes all the time.  You can pet and feed the stingrays, they have kimodo dragons, beautiful area with different kinds of orchids.  The train goes all the way around the zoo and they also have a nice sized merry-go-round.  There is also a small waterpark for small children.  It's a great place and you will have a wonderful time.

Thank you for your response.  Do you know if they have wheelchairs there.  I am looking forward to spending day there before the cruise.  I see the you have been on the fascination, did you like it?

Wow....we..(my sister and myslf)...will be getting off the ship as you get on....our first trip.....and yes, the zoo in Jax is very nice....if it's too hot they even have misting stations to cool you off....the train is a good way to get around the park and see in general, but you will have to walk to get to some of the animals. All in all will be worth the trip....matter of fact, it is just down the road from the ship...LOL...Have Fun!!!!!!!!
