I read somewhere it was not the cost it was the fact that the fruit punch spills were staining the carpets too much

Was on Ecstasy in Aug. Just my second cruise, we got our pins? But if I hadn't, All the fun I had would not have been any less enjoyable! My Word...It's a little tiny piece of tin that I havn't looked at since! What's the big deal!  I would think everything they do for us would count more than that little tin nic-nac!! Please!

Although I received a pin on both July cruises this summer, I was informed by Guest Relations that they are revamping the Past Guest Gifts, and pins will no longer be given out. However, I was told that ship pins would be available for purchase in the Gift Shop in the near future.

Just returned from the Liberty. No past guest pins were given out.  There was a ship pin to purchase in the gift shop (you had to ask for it as it is behind the counter) but was different than what used to be the past guest pins.

We didn't have any pins either. However, we got free drinks and some type of finger food.

The pin was a gold replica of the ship with the ship's name.  I think it was $8.00.

Can you please describe the pin available for purchase? I am interested in knowing if I should purchase the new pin for my collection.

I just got back on Oct. 7, 2009 and my wife got a past guest pin.

Just as an aside...why are you mad as H#$% ???  It's only a plastic pin worth about a dime.  Save your anger for more important problems.  Life is too short.  Did you enjoy your cruise other than the pins?  And cutting the tips...wow that is harsh...did the waiter, his assistant, your cabin stewart, etc. cause you not to get this little plastic reminder of your undying loyalty to Carnival???

I dont think you should cruise anymore till you lose that attitude. This is crazy. So the people that cleaned up after you did it for nothing because you didnt get some stupid cheap pin.
