Not one machine that we played was paying out.

    They aren't gumball machines.

After several thousand dollars  you would figure the host would come over and a least offer us a drink or maybe a T shirt or something.

The free drinks for gambling are in Vegas, Reno and Atlantic City.

...we asked the consears  desk ...

This one took me a while.

"Concierge".  Or, on a boat, "Pursers".

Desperately seeking 10th cruise for the free laundry.

The Slots were a little tight on the Pride. I'll get my revenge on the Liberty next month.

We love you Kalyn Padget and Rosie Unsworth (our lovely adopted daughters), Amy Barton, Melanie Therrien, TJ, and Rick! The Fun Crew puts the fun in Carnival Cruising! Thank you Butch for being a fantastic CD!

I've only been off the Holiday for a short time, and I'm already having fits of melancholy. I guess unless we can cruise every two months, I'll probably never be satisfied again.

Our 7 YO and 6 YO grandsons decided that they would prefer a Thanksgiving Cruise to Key West and Cozumel on the Destiny to Thanksgiving in Orlando/Kissimmee this November. We must be teaching them well. Thanks for an excuse for my booking another cruise, guys!

We went on two Norwegian Cruise Line Tramp Steamer Cruises - Thank goodness we were too busy on our honeymoon in 1978 to realize how crummy the cruise actually was - Then they ruined our 2007 Hawaii Cruise that was my retirement gift from my wife - Two chances is enough! - Never again!

Our current future dream cruise is 15 days back-to-back on the Freedom / 8-day Eastern (Fort Lauderdale) and the Valor / 7-day Western (Port of Miami) with a 45 minute private shuttle ride in between the two Fun Ships.

We were on the Pride 5-11 April also, the weather was not that bad, I hardly felt any bumps or waves.

After seeing the waves crashing against the rocks at Grand Cayman I am glad they didn't start tendering - if they have had we would have been staying on board anyway.  The other ships that were allowed to dock it was their regular port, the Pride was making its first stop there after coming around from the West and on its way up to Baltimore so we were down the list of priority.

The captain did a great job in my opinion trying to get us ashore but it was not his decision, so what we had another day at sea - beats another day at work!!!

Re: Carnival Pride April 5-11----NEVER EVER AGAIN

I could ask so many questions of this poster but the one that sticks out most is..why is it someone elses responsiblity to be supervising your son  at midnight? If the counsellors leave at 11:30 "every night" then I would assume that's when "circle C club" closes and the kids should be back in their cabins, or with their parents if they must be supervised. I don't think Carnival personell should be expected to baby sit after hours too.

"After nine boat cruises........." sorry..this just grates on me...it's not a "boat" it's a SHIP! Rule of thumb: "ships have to be big enough to carry boats, and boats have to be small enough to be carried by ships."

" After several thousand dollars  you would figure the host would come over and a least offer us a drink or maybe a T shirt or something.  I explained to her in front of the table and he dealers that after three days on this cruise I spent $6,000 dollars in her casino and the dealers should know me by now. As well as her. "

I'll stop here..this says it all.  Zip it!  Smile

And something that no one mentioned is " the ship is brought into the port by a pilot that is brought to the ship by boat.  He and only he can bring the ship into port.  He and only he can take the ship out of port.  Then he exits the ship by boat."  I guess a lot of people didn't know that.

DW and I sailed the Pride way back in Aug. of 07 when she was still cruising to the Mexican Riviera. It was our 1st cruise and we had the time of our life Yes on her.We had a ext aft balcony room and had none of the problems "she" claimed to have.We are sadSad that they moved her from Long Beach to the east coast. But we now have the Splender and are boarding her Nov.8th just 2 more weeks.Hoping the Splender is as nice as the PRIDE.

Re: Carnival Pride April 5-11----NEVER EVER AGAIN

I can't believe some people would fester on such small issues! Cigar ashes - that'snothing, just wash the hair and it's over.  Wet clothes... if you would have been caught in a rain storm on the island you would have gotten wet - like we did in San Juan, we were soaked!  Have you seen any complaints from me regarding this?  NO!  there are many things yo can not control - so don't waste your time festering on it.

If that's all it takes to ruin your holiday... I would hate to see what happens at home!  Such minor things.

Why let these insignificant little matters ruin your holiday.  If you spend your time on small things like this and let it ruin your holiday - then don't go on holidays because it will never be perfect.

Safety of passengers, ship and crew is the Captain's responsibility.  So if mother nature is acting up and you can't anchor in port, well you have another day at sea to have fun and enjoy.

Sue...  I just got off the Pride last Sunday and I can hardly wait to book another cruise on her.   I have had nothing but great vacations on Carnival and in my opinion, it is the best vacation you can get for the price.  The Pride is a gorgeous ship and her crew is astounding.  There is no request too small or insignificant for her crew...they will bend over backwards to make your vacation the best possible..

To the OP...  nothing you spewed has convinced me that Carnival is the worst ever...  nada...
