WD, you may already be back from your cruise, not sure but we did the bottom fishing in Freeport.  It is OK...you go our a few miles, not very far and my husband did not catch one fish but I caught 6 and they were GORGEOUS fish.  Things you don't catch around here.  We also say a barracuda bite a fish in half as we reeled it up...pretty cool.  I would do it again...

What do they do with the fish that you catch?

Do they throw them back or keep them and if they keep them what due they do with them then, sell them or give them away?

I saw them throw most back but one or two, we didn't really catch any monsters out there worth keeping.  When I asked they said that is the benefit of being a captain so maybe the captain takes them home and cooks them.

We are from texas and are going to do the bottom fishing in Freeport. Do we have to have a fishing licenses? Is it included in the price? How does that work? This is our first cruise and were not sure how it works.

No license, saltwater fishing does not require one.
