We are in fact pop addicts and that is why even though we prefer Mt. Dew to Coke. We are goona take a 12 pack of Mt. Dew for the mornings and get soda cards for the rest of the time. I'm pretty sure it won't be the 1st time in our lives we have to make a small sacrafice!

By the way we too are from Indiana!

Libby  We have taken up to 40 cans of pop on our cruises.  We put it in a wheel-on suitcase, sometimes I take it on, other time I have the porter take it on.  No one has ever said anything.  We are also from Indiana.  What part are you from.  We are from Michigan City, LaPorte, Chesterton area.  Couldn't take the winters anymore and moved to Texas.

Didn't you say for 5 or 6 family members? There is only two of us and with the changing of airline policy after August 28th. I think we are very limited to what we can take.

We are from Columbus! We have been to South Bend and Wabash, but not quite ur area!

Joan that is also why we left Northern Indiana also.  We love it here in Fl and being in Jacksonville we seem to get a lot less of an effect from the occasional Hurricanes or tropical storms.  In fact it seemed like the midwest had more bad weather (tornado's, ice, snow and wind storms) then we have here in FL.

I grew up in Hawaii and Arizona and after seeing snow on Christmas morning, I wouldn't trade that for the world! You guys can have the warm, I'll stay up here with the corn in the cold!Smile

That is what makes this world a wonderful place.  We each can have there own choice.  I prefer not shoveling snow and fighting the ice and cold of the north.  I am glad there our folks that love it.  I do agree snow when it's first fallen and it is untouched is pretty to look at through the window.

    HI

We had 4 people in our balcony cabin and we each brought a 12 pack of bottles and a case of bottled water, and a gallon size wine. we had not issues. I had most of the soda in a wheeled small cooler and the rest in a backpack to refill cooler as needed. bring water bottles for lemonade and ice tea.

    Hi Candy,

Just read some posts on the forum and I noticed your from Portage, well we're from Griffith, nice to know someone from this area sailed out of Tampa.  We will be going on the Inspiration in Dec with our kids and their familys.  One question I have is, our son wants to take his laptop to check on his clients do they have WiFi on the ship and what does it cost? Also can you call out useing your cell phone, I heard it is costly to use your cell from the ship.  If you can't answer these questions that's ok, it was just nice to see someone from this area on the forum.

I am also from NW IN. Computer tim as well a cell phone is available but extremely expensive IMHO. It is best to not use it on the ship. We. Use it in port and the crew can tll you where thebbest place is in each port.

When my dh and I went on our cruise we took a 12pack of the 16oz bottles. Then we took 20 of the water bottles.  We packed all of the bottles in a carry on bag with wheels.  By the end of the week we had drank all but 2 waters.  We left them for the steward.  Then we didn't have to worry about getting souviners home because we had it built into what we took with us for luggage. No one said anything about the amount of drinks that we took either.
