What happens if it rains the day the cruise leaves and or storms? Will they cancel the cruise on us and does anyone have access to a 15 day weather forecast for grand turk because I see it's supposed to rain for 8-9 days straight there!!

If it is just rain .. you will sail. If it is a tropical storm .. you will sail, might go around the storm. If it is a hurricane .. you will sail, will go around the storm and might be diverted to another port.

Tropical area's do get rain. What I have experienced is it will rain for a little while and go away or rain in one area and not another. Do not worry, have fun. Happy Sailing!

It shouldn't have any affect on your cruise other than it will be raining on you and you may not want to be on the deck. It rained on us a few years back when we went to Belize, but it was still fun, and as long as there isn't any lightning you should have nothing to worry about, just be sure to wear shoes that dry off quickly.

i see it's supposed to thunder and lightning on the two days we're out to sea and then the destination we will be heading to is getting rain tomorrow til may 9th. i can't see the weather past that:(

Usually only if it is a hurricane.  Then the diverted port could be anywhere not in the path of the storm but I doubt if you will see a hurricane this early as hurricane season does not start until June.

I wouldn't worry about it. Where I live, at least, there's almost always a chance of rain, like 20-30%. It definitely DOES NOT rain 20-30% of days here in South Carolina. We've gone weeks without rain! But, the weather forecasters put the little rain icon up if there is ANY chance of rain... and we don't really notice or worry about rain so much unless we're going on vacation or know we'll be outside. So yeah, don't be paranoid about it- even if it does rain, the day probably won't be a washout unless the chance is like 80% or more. Plus, my ship had a retractable cover over the pool and deck so even when it was raining, you could still enjoy the pools and hot tubs on the ship.

It rained on my cruise this past summer.

On embarkation, only the stern pool was open, and that was because it had a (closed) roof.  The other pools, and the slide, were closed. Yea, those of us who wanted to wave goodbye and watch the sites as we left, got wet.

On our first day at sea, there were plenty of unused chairs out on the open (and wet) Lido deck.

On port days, and because the dining rooms were closed, the Lido deck was packed at lunch time.  Those daring enough to leave the ship, were welcomed back with a towel (there was a Carnival employee just after the x-ray machine handing out towels).  I thought that was a nice touch.

It stopped raining on debarkation day. 

I still had a wonderful time.
