    Hi Forrobin!!

I just wanted to let you know (if you are still interested in joining us on the Altun Ha & River Wallace excursion), we are tenatively planning to meeting up on Sunday at 3pm at the sports bar called On the Green for a drink.  You are welcome to join us!

Muy bien ¿y tú?  No.  I live about an hour and twenty minutes away from Port Canaveral.  We are just going to drive over to the port on the morning of July 11.  That is the cool thing about living near Orlando! Smile  How about you?  I don't know a good place to stay, but I do know a good place to eat...Dixie Crossroads...It is a seafood restaurant that has awesome corn fritters with every meal.  Well, I just looked it up...Dixie Crossroads is in Titusville, which is near Port Canaveral, but 34 minutes away from the port.  I don't know if you like seafood or if it's too far from where you are staying, but I enjoyed it when we ate there awhile ago and watched the shuttle launch afterwards.

Muy Muy Bien tambien!! Solamente diez y siete dios!!!!!!!!!! WOW! You are soooo luck to live so close to port...We are coming in a few days earlier and going to Universal Studios, Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, & La Nouba (Cirque De Soleil) YAY!!To answer your question...YES!!! I LOOOOVE seafood...it's my favorite food. We will have to check out that restaurant for sure. And watching the launch must be awesome! How often do they have them?

Wow!  You are doing some great attractions in Orlando!  I love Universal Studios!  Do you like roller coasters?  If so, do the Hulk and Dueling Dragons!  It has been EXTREMELY hot here in Orlando with the heat index at 105, because there hasn't been much rain.  I hope it rains when you come, because it cools things off.  It has been so humid that I've acutally started sweating by walking my dog at night!  My advice is to buy one of those waterbottles with the fans attached.  I bought one at Disney World, and it's the best investment I've made (especially when at theme parks).  I fill it up with ice and water so it stays cooler longer.  I'm actually bringing mine on the cruise!  I think it will be great for the hot excursions!   I've never seen Ripley's Believe It or Not, but it looks cool.  And I've actually never seen La Nouba, but I heard it is amazing.  I need you, the Hotlanta girl, to tell the local girl how that is and if I should spend the $ to see it!   As far as the shuttle launch, it is very random.  Sometimes the shuttle launches once a year sometimes more than once.

We love roller coasters so we will be riding everything we can fit into the day! We're gonna check out CityWalk that night too. I have a few of those waterbottle fans from our trip last year to Disney and Seaworld so you know that's already added to the packing list! LOL. I will certainly fill you in when I meet you on the cruise!

Almost time to pull the luggage out of the attic!!!

Hi loglady.....thanks for the invite and I will try to find you all on Sunday.  I have not booked my excursions as of yet due to a medical issue that has come up with the other couple we are going with.  My friend's mother is having surgery and it is a "wait and see" for them.  I hope that excursion doesn't fill up.  I do know this for those who have never cruised before, it is easier to book those trips online than on the boat.  The line can get quite lengthy once you are on the boat.

Anyway, can't wait to meet you all!

Luv2Vacay,  You go girl...get that luggage out of the attic!  I'm pulling mine out too...time to start packing...Woohoo!

Yeah, those waterbottle fans are nice when it's hot...we only have one...you have few, so you are all set!  CityWalk is really fun!  There is so much to do (unfortunately it can really add up)!  They even have a movie theater there, and we sometimes watch a movie in the middle of the day to cool off.  They sell beer and wine at the movie theater. Beer  CityWalk has a dinner and a movie package or a "club" hopper package.  The last time I went to Universal, they had a "Meal Deal' where you could eat unlimited all day at Islands of Adventure and/or Universal Studios (at specified quick service restaurants). They also have where you can pay for a bottle for unlimited soda all day.  It has cooled off a bit here; I've felt a breeze the last two days.Smile Hopefully it stays cool for you.  I have a free ticket to Universal but haven't gone yet, because it's so hot!  That's awesome that you love roller coasters!  Ride one for me!

Less than two weeks away!  Yeeaaa!!!

Girl, I am way ahead of you.....Already booked the tickets for Universal, Meal Deals, Drink Deals, & City Walk Passes all on line! I try to pre-pay everything that I can so it feels like we are vacationing for free when we get there, LOL!  We will definitely check out the movie theatre also cuz hubby didnt get to see Transformers yet, so we are going to have to squeeze that in also.

It's getting closer to the day we will be sipping monkey heads on the Lido!!!!

You are amazing!  Wow!  I didn't know that you could do all of that online!   Good plan!  I love prepaying!  That is why we are purchasing some drink tickets in advance.  I plan to get that drink of the day card too.  I keep hearing about it, and it sounds like a good deal.  I like the fruity drinks of the day & my husband mainly likes beer.  We just saw Transformers yesterday.  It was pretty good.  I think all action movies like that are worth seeing on the big screen.  Wooo hoo!  Monkeyheads here we come!

Heehee! Thanks! Yep, I pretty much do everything online!! I need to look into those drink tickets...Where'd you find them? I'm not much of a drinker (prefer the virgin kinds) but Hubby loves the liquor, LOL! Though, I will definitely take advantage of the fruity drink of the day!

The drink tickets are on the Carnival Gifts and Services page under "Most Popular Items" and under "Specialty Items."  It is called a "Bar Credit," where you get four drink tickets for $21.25.  I heard that if you want a premium liquor (like Grey Goose) or a stronger drink like Long Island Iced Tea (four liquors), you have to pay extra on top of the drink ticket.

We took that picture at Sandals Whitehouse, Jamaica about three years ago.  The sunset there is beautiful.  Thanks!  We got married in Jamaica (Dunn's River Villaggio in Ocho Rios) and we've been to Sandals around six times total.  We love it, but it's really expensive (so we decided to do a cruise this year)!
