Usually boarding starts around noon.  I usually get there early and hang out at Seaport Village and do some shopping until they allow us to check in.  I want to get onboard asap so I can get some food and funship special drink of the days.  Yummy.

My intent is to have the Pre-Sail Away Party in the Aft Lido Bar, aka Tiffany's Bar (& Grill), aka the bar in the back of the ship on Deck 9. There's windows to look out on San Diego, and if the weather is nice enough we can step outside into the cool afternoon breeze.



Sally and I will be in that area from 3:30 until the Muster Drill call. Look for two tall (6 foot+) people that look a lot like this:

We will be warming up our livers at the Lobby (Plaza) Bar (Deck 7 / Empress near the front of the ship, Purser's desk, Shore Excursions desk, Internet Café, etc.), time permitting. We hope to get to the pier around noon and get on as early as they will let us. We'll grab a bite and see if we can beat our record of 8 DoDs consumed prior to Muster Drill.

We have late seating for dinner so after the Muster Drill we may head up top for sail away, depending on the weather (rain, temperature).

Where is the sailaway party?  Same place?  Where do we go after muster?  Of course it will be close to dinner time by then since we have early seating.  I hear we don't have to wear the lifevests to muster drill anymore so that will be nice to run straight from muster station to get a good viewing of sailaway.

We all got off work Thursday so we decided to drive to San Diego Thursday morning.  Yeah!

Couldn't confirm your itinerary as your ship appears to be sold out, but if this is a 3-day with Ensenada on Sunday, could you please do me the favor of scanning and posting your capers upon return?  I haven't been able to find a comparable cruise's caper anywhere.  

If that is too much to ask...I would love it if you could let me know if Bread Pudding ever appears on the menu.  It is my fave!
