Just wanted to know if we can set up a time and place to all meet up. Matt, since you are the most experienced person maybe you can make a recommendation?

I suggested on sail away day on the other board. So far one person responded with a "maybe not" but we will be there regardless... We just hang out, say hello, and have a slice of pizza aand a few (dozen) DoDs. By all means feel free to suggest a day and/or time if you want to set something up, and we will try to be there.

Sailaway day is usually busy for me.  If a time is set up for the first day, I suggest around 3ish.  Otherwise I'm up for meeting on Saturday while at sea.

What we will definitely want to do is get together with anyone interested for a pre-sail away party in the aft Lido Bar in the Tiffany's Dining area. This bar is inside and thus we should be well protected from any adverse weather as we sip our frou-frou umbrella-laden drinks... I mean DRINK OUR MANLY ALES!

The official Pre-Sail Away Party hours are 3:30 to 5:ish. The idea is that we have a few before the Muster Drill, and those of you with early dinner seating have time to make it (as opposed to having a Sail Away party that people have to bail on early). If we are on board early enough, we will be in the Lobby Bar warming up our livers for the weekend of abuse.

Post a reply if you want to join us! Yes, you can bring your kids to the party. We have none of our own for yours to hang with, but I'm sure there will be others on board.

Having done this a couple of times before we know that this is a pretty good time to get together - you (hopefully) got to grab a bite to eat, dropped off stuff in your cabin, maybe even unpacked! Now, you're just waiting for the lifeboat drill and sail away. We intentionally do it mid-afternoon before Muster because we don't want to mess with anyone's dinner plans.

Again, I'll post the location and more details (including a picture of us to make finding us easier) in the week prior to the cruise - hey, it's just 6 weeks and a day away!

Hi Tami, 33 days and a wake-up! We'll be on the ship early-ish if we can so that we can get a good start on the weekend. Those Drinks of the Day are already calling to us!

We are a group of 8 friends, who can't wait for the Drink of the Day or any other concotion we can get our hands on :) We will be driving down early on Friday to start our party. We're late risers, so we may not be getting to the terminal until sometime after noon. We will definitely be ready to party! Last time we just dropped our carry-ons in our cabin and did a quick unpack of that stuff, then had pizza while we were waiting for everyone else to show up for the Pre-Sail Away Party. We will probably do much the same this time, especially since we are just two decks down from where the party takes place (all the way in the back of the ship on Empress).

The best thing about travelling in such a large group is that you can bring aboard 8 bottles of wine between all of you. If someone is a non-(wine) drinker that's one more for you...

OK, according to the countdown my girlfriend can now officially start getting excited about the cruise. 28 Days and a wakeup!

Hey neighbor, we are right next door in Mission Viejo. Yes 8 bottles of wine is good for first night then what? LOL We are also near aft. Depending on who we carpool down with will depend on our arrival time. My husband and I generally like to get there early although we usually sail out of LB. I am the tall blonde and my husband shorter mexican with big smile (always up to no good) We will also be out on deck for sail away.

Hi all!   We're first time cruisers celebrating our 34th anniversay Oct. 17 & we'll be on the Elation on Oct 16 too. 

I remember when I was a first time cruiser.  Prepare to be addicted.

My wife and I will be on board to celebrate outh 10th anniversary. We would love to hookup and meet some of you.

This is our first Carnival cruise. We did the Princess Alaska trip about 7 years ago, other than that we are not experienced cruisers. How early can we board? How early should we board?
