John and CruiseX we found a tour that we are going to do the first day in Cabo..it is an ATV ride that goes 30 miles...some on the beach and then to a little town..we thought we would do that the first day then go to Mango Deck on the beach the 2nd day!  We have been to Mango Deck a couple times its a great place to hang on the beach!  We are looking forward to are CABO CABO cruise!  See you on Lido!

There was a cruiser who complained about how bad his cruise was, but never said what went wrong on the cruise. He told everyone not to 'Waste' their money. Our founding members got together to talk about how much we all loved to have fun and 'Waste' money on our vacations.

At the same time, there were comments about 'favorite drinks' or the Drink of the Day (DoD) - Wasting $15 on drinks served in 'Coconut Monkeyheads' and one thing led to another and the two groups from Cruise Critic and Carnival Connections joined into the CoCoNut MonkeyHead Wasters Club.

Our Fearless Leader, Tom Elkranger is our Captain.  I have yet to cruise and 'waste' with Elkranger and his wife, Sioux and I look forward to the cruise that happens on, AND I do wonder if I will be able to keep up with them!

There were 4 Monkeyheads on my last cruise and I would guess there are over 400 Monkeyhead Members by now.  If you care to join the club, post your oath in the user group and Elkranger will send you free stuff!

ok what is the oath? and where do i go to get it?And all I have to do is order monkey head drinks on my cruise? That is the ones served in the coconut shells?

I just found this, but I think I can answer your question.  Go to the website monkeyheadwastersclub.com and the oath is posted there.  Copy it and come back to this forum.  Look for the user group The Coconut Monkeyhead Club and there is a thread http://www.carnivalconnections.com/cruisetalk/forums/t/66721.aspx, post your oath there, and Tom (Elkranger) will contact you with further instructions.

It's been a month since this thread was out there...Just thought I would see if anyone is going on our CABO CABO Cruise?

Just about all set to go.  Paid, airfair done, tux ready, picking champagne......yep, just about there.  Lets just hope it's a mild tropical season down there.  A little talk over on CC boards, they must be resting themselves,.... except for Wendell

Monkeyheads are both a group of fun cruisers and also a drink of the day which is served in a carved coconut which looks like a monkeyhead.  This is served only one day of the cruise usually.  Sure, they are expensive, about 16.00, refills less.  There is a whole group of disturbed persons, escaped inmates, who enjoy cruising and drinking while wasting money.  As a first time cruiser I highly recommend joining the group right off the bat.  I'll send a link to the club website and read the monkeyhead wasters club postings on this forum.  I will be wearing a club tee shirt on embarkation day.  Live free, be proud, be a monkeyhead. (the only requirement for being in the club is desire to waste money on cruises and monkeyheads.  my kind of group).

Hi Everyone. We are going on the 9/26 cruise to Cabo too. It is our first cruise ever and we are very excited to go...I have the countdown on my PC at work. Can you tell me what the CABO CABO tour is? We are still unsyre waht to do onthe excursions.

We are from Arizona. Married, 41 & 39. Can't wait to eat! Hoping there won't be a ton of kids since we are leaving ours at home!

Welcome to the party and your first cruise!  I don't know about that tour.  there are a bunch of other folks getting together if you want to make friends.  If you go over to Cruise critic boards it is under roll calls for Carnival and Elation for this date. Some of these folks are booked on a sail and snorkel excursion but not through the ship.  With two days there, we have plenty of choices.  There will be plenty of food, don't worry and thanks for leaving the kids at home.  They really don't need the trauma of seeing their parents acting like you will.  Now if tropical season will calm down over there........

Is it better to book shore stuff thru carival or do it independantly? when we went to ensanada I know we found a tour to blow hole for half the price that carnival wanted by asking once we was off the ship. So far all of the prices that I have found online are the same or more for the lands end tour. Opinions would be great.

There is an Aft bar on the Lido deck in Tiffany's Dining area Starboard side. We definitely want to get together with anyone interested for a pre-sail away party. This bar is inside so we should be well protected from any adverse weather as we sip our frou-frou umbrella-laden drinks... I mean DRINK OUR MANLY ALES!

The official Pre-Sail Away Party hours are 3:30 to 5:ish. The idea is that we have a few before the Muster Drill and those of you with early dinner seating have time to make it (as opposed to having a Sail Away party that people have to bail on early).

We will be on board early enough, and will be in the Lobby Bar warming up our livers for the weekend of abuse until we get the OK from the crew to go topside.
