Now we are all DDM's!

Well look who's here! Looks like we won't be the only people on this cruise. Chances are we'll be the only ones driving up from this part of Florida. What better way to start off the New Year than by doing things we haven't done before....like visiting Mobile, AL....cruising on Carnival....hopefully meeting some fun people. Got a feeling this will be a good trip!

Welcome aboard Ellie and Frank! You guys are not originally from the East coast, are ya? That photo of Frank sure looks familiar to me! Many years ago when I spent some time in New Jersey working for a family, which shall remain anonymous, one of the family members was called Franky the Fireman. I heard many years later he married a gal from Philly named Ellie and they entered the WP system and moved to Florida.  Surely just a coincidence?

Only 64 to go!  Is everyone as excited as I am?  I cannot wait!

 Roll Call. Coming with a big family. 2 adults (my parents, I'm 21 but I'm not an adult yet) and 8 kids including myself. I'm the oldest at 21, a sister at 19, another sister at 18 and her boyfriend who is 21, a brother and sister both 15, brother thats 13, and the youngest is 10. I'm not a first time cruiser but I have not been on the Fantasy. How is it compared to the Liberty and Miracle, my two prevous ships?

Hello everyone, this is Sylvia. I have some very sad news. My best friend and travel buddie has passed away! He won't be making this cruise with us. I would like to say how profoundly sad this makesme.  Last week Mony and I boared The Holiday for what would be his last cruise. We had the same itenary as we will have on the Fantasy. We fullfilled some of his last wishes on this cruise, we went Parasailing!! :) He said it was the most "peacefull thing he had ever done" we wnt shopping in Progresso he bought a beutiful 90 gram silver chain. Wev had Guacamole on the beach under a palappa I had Tequila he had Coke. We took photos it was a great day!!  I have to stop writing now, I can't see for the tears, I will miss hime very much and so will our family and friends. Hope to see you all on the cruise we can drink a toast to Mony "The Big Guy"

Sorry to hear of your loss. I looked at the scrapbook that was posted. Was he the older or younger man? Please inclued my thought's in your toast. God be with you and his family.

Sylvia: That is so sad about your friend, Mony. There's really nothing to say about something like this...whether it was sudden or expected. A loss like that is painful. Look us up on the Fantasy....we'll be happy to drink a toast to Mony. Even though we didn't know him, we do know what it's like to lose an important person in your life. Our "special person" lives in our hearts every day, even though it's been over 7 years since his passing. Hope your memories are good ones and appreciate that you had somebody that important to you.
