    Atlantis Aquaventure

I'm going on my first cruise to the bahamas and I hear that the food is expensive on Atlantis. Would it be a good idea to do the Atlantis Aquaventure with lunch excursion to save money?

    Re: Atlantis Aquaventure

We just got back from our 3-day cruise and purchased the Atlantis Aquaventure excursion. We had also heard about the steep food prices at Atlantis. Consequently, prior to departing for the excursion we gathered some fruits and sandwiches from the buffet at the Lido deck and took a small backpack cooler for water and drinks.  The cooler also came in handy while on ship.

You are not supposed to take fruit or food (that is not prepackaged and unopened) off the ship.

Oh no, I am busted! So what is the penalty for taking on-shore a pear and a couple of bananas?  Let me guess, going directly to jail without passing through GO.

    Hey everyone!

It looks like the Sensation (June 11th) may not be offering the Atlantis Aquaventure with Food, just the trip without food and that concerns me because of the possible steep price.  The lido deck is sounding like a plan to me.

Hello: Its not only for June 11 because we are sailing on July 23 and they are not offering Aquaventure with food either, so we are thinking to buy the Atlantis Day Pass and bring some snacks in our cooler because the Confort Suites deal is not working either because they have increased the prices from $167.00 up to $283.00 for two people and one two years old child.

Check hotel.com they run 48 hour specials and we got our room for 198.00. Hope this helps!

We are also thinking about getting the day passes but trying to decide if it is worth 115/pp for a waterpark. For someone who has done the waterpark, how was it?

I've bitten the Carnival apple and I am hooked!

Just got back from our cruise. Did the Comfort Inn thing and saved money even though we paid $260 something total because we have two kids. Actually got to go to Atlantis Aquaventure for two days. Can get a hamburger, fries, and a drink for like $9. No more expensive than Disney.

    Re: Atlantis Aquaventure

We have done the Aquaventure 2 times and I will do it everytime I am in Nassua if I have time.  It is worth every dime you pay if you are into waterparks.  I would say if you are bringing small children it might not be worth it since they have to be 48" to get on any of the slide so you are going to be paying alot of money for a small kiddie area for them.  The food was no more than Disney.  We got a cheeseburger, nachos, chicken sandwich, an order of fries and one soda and it was about $40.00.  Thing to know is they do not take cash outside anywhere on the property so bring a credit card.

We are booked on the 3 day cruise to Nassau, Can u tell me about the Comfort Inn? How does it work if you are on the cruise? Isn't check-in time at the hotel after 3pm, so how do you get into Atlantis before then? Were you able to stay at the hotel or did you have to go back to the ship before it sailed? Thanks for any assistance!

    Re: Atlantis Aquaventure

Check in at the hotel is 3PM but you can get your room card as soon as you arrive and this is what you need to go to Atlantis....u take that over there and they give you the wristbands and towels.  We got lucky and we were in port until 1:00 AM so we went to the room after the waterpark and used it to shower and such but most people just check in and check right out only to get the pass.  We never even checked out, we left the room card open for the day so we could use the room card for the locker rentals and anything else we needed as we didn't want to bring our credit card with us to the waterpark.

As far as staying overnight that depends on when your ship sails...I am pretty sure that they recommend being back on the ship no later than 1 hour prior to sailing, one time it was only 1/2 hour but I can tell you that I have been less than 2 minutes til sailing time RUNNING down the pier to the ship and had them close the doors as we got on...we got a talking to about that!  They will leave without you and not feel sorry for you, so I don't recommend being too late, but Senior Frogs can be alot of fun and you do lose track of time!
