I agree with you that people need to read the FAQ's. Heck I read everything I can get my hands on for every vacation I go on. I also ask redundant questions a different way, I learned that from my husband. drives me nuts.
I generally just breeze over comments and try not to be a lightening strike, especially easy since I only know general information. Online classes have taught me quite a bit on postings and how they "sound" to others. My emails at work have really improved on "tone"
