Thanks for the car rental info.

I think we may try it at a port or two.

Some of the shore excursions don't interest us and I don't want to stay on the ship.

We are stayimg at the Pan Pacific the night before the cruise.

I understand it is nice.

It was a bit pricy but hey this is a special occasion

And after the cruise we are staying at the Waikiki Marriott for one night.

We spent our honeymoon at this hotel 25 years ago.

Back then it was called the Hawaiian Regent.

It will be nice to see it again.

I just made my final payment for the 9/16 sailing to HAWAII.

 Hey everybody!  I didn't realize Carnival had a "chat" site.  Just found it.  I recognize some familiar names:)  

 I can't believe that in exactly two weeks we will be on board and at sea!!!!!!!!!!!!

 woohoo only 11 days and 1 sleep till we are onour way. Finally started packing and have waaaaay to much stuff :(  Time for the first of I am sure many downsizes. oh wel, it will make the time go faster.Did I say WOOOHOOO yet

The starting line is in view!!!! We have everting booked. My wife has suit cases on the floor and she has started filling them.

I am hoping for a nice day in Vancouver when we sail.

Could be 50/50.

As first timers we think we have everything covered.

If not let the experiance begin.

We will wing it!!!!

 Vancouver weather can be iffy, but as long as we're on that ship, the rest is gravy :)

Hey Oilcan;

I've filled my suitcases also-

I know I'll have some pressing to do, once we get unpacked, but that seems inevitable no matter how careful you are folding or rolling your clothes, and you can't roll a tuxedo

I listed every item in each bag, and tomorrow will compare that to a list I had made at the office......

Only thing not packed away is the cell-phone charger, and I have a large post-it note set out as a reminder for that.

If my checked bag gets misplaced, I'll be attending formal night & the supper club, in shorts and a polo!

Ya we are pretty much ready.

My wife ia an expert at packing, I just lug them to the car.

The long rainge forcast looks nice in Vancouver.

Could change, but lets hope it is sunny like they are predicting!!!!

So we are flying next Tuesday night from Toronto to Vancouver and spending the night at the Pan Pacific.

The off we go!!!

 Hey oilcan1959; i didn't realize it was your first cruise.This will be our maiden voyage as well, andcan hardly wait.Will you be joining us at the Old Spaghetti Factory the night osf the 15th? Since your wife is such an expert packer, share the secret please. I know i am taking WAY to much.Thought I was a good packer until I started for this trip.Guess being a first timer makes it harder since you don't know what you personally need. Everyone has been very helpful with suggestions, but I don't think we will need half of what we were told we would need. Guess I'll just have to keep on cruising until I get it right. Hmmm I think I have just become a very slow learner   see you all soon.7 days and a sleep
