i am feeling a lot better..still have the dry cough, but taking honey for it..it helps...
thank you...
i was trying to post something but it won't let me paste it on..this is an article from a cruiser that just got off the Splendor

I just go off the Splendor on Sunday. I saw several changes. It was like the Carnival experience had been totally watered down. I noticed the changes because I cruised on the Freedom over this past Memorial Day week and things are soooo different than.
A few examples of these changes are:
The price of a cocktail has gone up to $10.05 (after tip). The same drink cost me less than $7.00 on the Freedom. That is over a 30% increase in less than 5 months.
No more free drinks at the Captain's party. Instead you get a $1.00 off the price of a drink. I found this tacky.
No H'or Dourves at the Captain's party.
No smoking anywhere on the Lido Deck. Instead smokers were relegated to the back of Deck 10 completely cut off from all of the music and activities. It was did not go over well at all with the smokers on the Splendor. No smoking in the dance club. This was needed. The Lido deck was overkill. A lot of Carnival's demographics smoke.
The piano bar is now rated "X" at night. The limericks and songs sung every night were pornographic. If you are more modest and/or just a bit conservative, you could not sit in that bar for more than a few minutes.
The only jacuzzi and steam room in the gym were part of the upscale spa center and this center came with a price tag of $149 for the week.
The lockers, sauna and other amenities in the gym/spa that were not part of the "Spa" package were sorely lacking in quality. In other words, the stuff that used to be free, now comes with a hefty additional price tag.
This is the first cruise where I have seen them run out of certain food items during the second seating for dinner. If you wanted seconds or an additional entree, you had to order it as soon as you sat down otherwise, it may very well be poof.
The Buffett seemed to open up a little later than usual (8:00). I thought it opened at 7. I could be wrong.
Does any one know anything about why Carnival is imposing some many changes at once? The drink prices, piano bar, the gym and the captain's party are major aspects of the cruise experience for many people.
I am not sure that these are good changes. I would rather pay more upfront for my vacation than to see the things that I have come to expect from a cruise disappear.

What do you think?
