Could you please tell me more about Cable beach..is the water clear, the beach clean is it free?.  How do you get there and how much is the transportation ?

Many times i have been to Bahamas i have never been to Cable Beach. So if it free and clean Please let me know too

We have been to cable beach.  The water is clear and I found the beach to be clean.  We rented a scooter to get there but you can take a taxi, I would image it is not that expensive to take a taxi maybe $10-15 pperson.  We did not pay to go on the beach, we actually parked the scooter at one of the hotels and just walked through their lobby right out the back door onto the beach.  We didn't try to use their pool or get food or drinks so no one bothered us...I did not see anyone selling passes or beach tags so I would say the beach is free...we went to the Sheraton there and I thought that a central spot.  We just pulled up some beach chairs and hung out and did some jetskiing and got some sun.

Have fun...Nassau is one of my favorite ports. 

Thank you for the information. There was a spot next to the Sheraton near the the Atlantis you had to climb a hill but the last time we was there they was building a hotel where the hill was. But it seem it was a job to get to the beach in the Bahamas. It also seem they have commerical the beaches. Like in Cozemel, beaches are a dime a dozen. But if you know another beach i would like to know thank you.

If you don't want to pay to go to the Atlantis than I would maybe suggest Cabbage Beach.  Haven't been there in about 2 years but this is a public beach.  You can rent chairs and umbreallas and there is a restroom and food and drinks right there.  Here is another option for you!
