After deciding to heed advice from a poster in another thread, we're going to rent a car at the airport for the day of arrival in Whittier (our flight home leaves a little after 7pm that same evening). If we haven't arranged transfers thru Carnival, what are the realistic options to get to the airport fairly early in the day?
