    BACK TO BACK CRUISES?

This may sound like a dumb question......

    How does B2B work?

Are you allowed to remain on the ship in the same room or do you disembark from one cruise and then re-embark again for the next cruise?

I am thinking that this is a great idea for shorter 3 to 4 day cruises. Justifies the airfare from Memphis. Just wondering how complicated it is.

Try to get the same room and you only have to unpack once. You do have to go thru check in again though, but you probably won't have to wait in a line.

If you will be staying in a different room, the steward will help you move your things to your new room that a.m.

I see you are also going on the Glory. We were on her this past June and LOVED it! It is a gorgeous ship with a great crew.

I've heard different things about it.  Some people have said that they were allowed to stay on the ship, and just had to go see the Pursers Desk to get a new S&S card.  Others said that they had to disembark, but was one of the first back on the ship.  I think it just boils down to what ship you are on, and in what port.

    Re: BACK TO BACK CRUISES?

The bride and I B2B last spring on Valor, east carib & then West Carib.  We had the same stateroom for both cruises.  The last night of the 1st week the the cabin steward left our next weeks S&S cards on the bed with the capers and towel animal.

We were given the option of renewing the shipboard account (re-swipe the credit card) at the purser's desk and stay onboard or out in the terminal at the check in desk.  We elected to disembark and spend the day in Miami, I ventured over to South Beach for the art deco architecture and she went shopping.  Coming back to the ship we entered through VIP area updated ship board account and immediately embarked by-passing the line for passport checks and S&S photo ID in the attrium/lobby.  Although we had the same cabin, we had a different dining table (same dining room, same seating time).  The nice thing is the staff knows you, already knew our preferences & likes/dislikes and we got exellent service the 2nd week.

The downside...The entertainment is exactly the same, save one or two single comedy shows.  No big deal, you're cruisin.

    Re: BACK TO BACK CRUISES?

We just did on Freedom and we had to wait untill all regular guests disembarked, we got new S&S cards, then the purser walked us of we gave a our customs forms to US customs and we walked back on-- saw the big lineup of eager guests in the terminal building. Those people that wanted to spend the day in Ft Lauderdale were given a little pink peice of paper 'in transit' to bypass the long line and the rest of us went back on to get the best chairs on the lido deck to watch all the new guests arrive....we had some new entertainment on the 2nd cruise as it was 8 days, the nice thing was that it allowed us some flexibility on our evening activites cuz we knew we could see the show next week- being on late seating it seemed that we missed out on some things cuz our whole evening was booked up (dinner 8:15-10, show 10:30-11:30, adult comedian 12-?)

    Cruisin soon...
