    Platinum Status - Benefits Liberty

Has anyone cruised on the Liberty that has Platinum benefits. How did they work out? My parents are platinum on Royal Carribean and they received a room they could go to that had 3 hours worth of free drinks a night. Was there anything like this? What about beenfits they received outside the posted benefits?

CoolI have cruise the Liberty, but the platinum benefits are not specific to the ship, but the cruiseline.

The Platinum Benefits are on the Carnival.com website, and you don't get anything different than what is posted. Your parents platinum benefits on RCI do not earn them Platinum on Carnival though.

Carnival won't even recognize meber benefits between their own lines, except access to past guest rates.

How was the liberty? Do you have kids? If so, how was it for kids? any suggestions on the ship?

Ahh the Liberty was fun but the ports of call were the best.

I traveled with my 3 kids, at the time they were 27, 20, and 10, and my 8 year old granddaughter. Everyone had a blast - my son (10) and I shared a cabin of our own, so we had the "guys" cabin, the girls were next door. The girls loved the big movie screen on the Lido Deck, and would hang out in the hot tub watching movies at night.

My 20 year old was like a lost puppy - but she usually is anyways. My son is the king of ship - always on his own, especially when he's bored at Camp Carnival. My granddaughter loved Camp Carnival, but it wasn't as fun for her as the Disney Cruise we took her on for her 8th birthday. My eldest daughter needed to learn to relax away from her daughter - she did better on our Spirit Cruise 5 months later.

I haven't been on a Carnival cruise yet where I didn't have fun, even though it took me until my 10th cruise to get up the nerve to Karaoke.
