Experts: Is Welcome Home Combinable with Military Rate

I can't remember - Is the Welcome Home discount combinable with Military Rate???

The Welcome Home letter states something like "Cannot be combined with Restricted Rate Codes" - what ARE the Restricted Rates??

    thanks, Ken

    Ken,

It depends on who you book with.  Carnival may not (I'm not sure) which means most agencies might not either.

But someone who goes above and beyond will make it happen for you, especially if they want you as a client.

And YES - that is a shameless plug!

It has always been my understanding that you are only entitled to one discount per cruise.  Have your PVP determine which would be most beneficial for you.  I know the military discount is a huge one.

Re: Experts: Is Welcome Home Combinable with Military Rate

We book our cruises with our Carnival PVP.

When I had called to have the discount applied to all our cruises I was told it could not be combined with the Military discount which is what we have for our February and April 2009 cruises.  We did get the Welcome Home OBC for our cruise on 10/26/08 - it was in addition to the senior discount.  The senior rate happened to be the best on that cruise.  Usually Military and Interline are the best/lowest rates.
