    Simple Man:

I have been on 7 cruises, but never to Half Moon Cay.Any hints on where to party and where NOT to party?Any advise would be greatly appreciated. We are going next oct.2009

    Hey Simple Man,

Try finding another couple to share a cabana with you. They are awesome. They are definitely worth $225 for 4 guests. They stock them with drinks, fruits, veggies, and chips. We had 5 adults and 2 kids in ours. We did have to pay $45 for the extra adult. You have to go directly to the Shore Excursion Desk when you board your Fun Ship. The cabanas go quickly. The folks from the bar will even deliver your Monkeyheads to your cabana. You can swim or snorkel if you like, or just spend your afternoon in a hammock drinking Monkeyheads and/or beers.

    Paradise

We love you Kalyn Padget and Rosie Unsworth (our lovely adopted daughters), Amy Barton, Melanie Therrien, TJ, and Rick! The Fun Crew puts the fun in Carnival Cruising! Thank you Butch for being a fantastic CD!

I've only been off the Holiday for a short time, and I'm already having fits of melancholy. I guess unless we can cruise every two months, I'll probably never be satisfied again.

Our 7 YO and 6 YO grandsons decided that they would prefer a Thanksgiving Cruise to Key West and Cozumel on the Destiny to Thanksgiving in Orlando/Kissimmee this November. We must be teaching them well. Thanks for an excuse for my booking another cruise, guys!

We went on two Norwegian Cruise Line Tramp Steamer Cruises - Thank goodness we were too busy on our honeymoon in 1978 to realize how crummy the cruise actually was - Then they ruined our 2007 Hawaii Cruise that was my retirement gift from my wife - Two chances is enough! - Never again!

Our current future dream cruise is 15 days back-to-back on the Freedom / 8-day Eastern (Fort Lauderdale) and the Valor / 7-day Western (Port of Miami) with a 45 minute private shuttle ride in between the two Fun Ships.

We've been four times, we made it on two times.  I hope you make it, it's a great place to spend the day, especially if you get a clamshell.

    Re: Half Moon Cay(Key)

Half Moon Cay is awesome. We went on the Oct. 5 Destiny sailing, and this was our second stop. It's a private island owned by Holland America, which is Carnival's sister company. The best thing about it is that you don't have to worry about where to party or where to go and where not to go because it's private. The beaches there are also great. There's a trail on the island that you can walk on (but take bottled water because it's really, really hot), and just look at the nature and all, and there are little signs telling you about the plants/wildlife, etc. I think the ship also does a morning run around that trail early that morning (for free, not an excursion), if you're into that sort of thing. I am, but my boyfriend's not and I really didn't want to go by myself. Anyway... my boyfriend and I loved it. He snorkeled and I just swam and laid out on the beach, and then we walked around the whole island. We didn't do the food because we just ate on the Lido deck when we got back onboard, but all the food is free at it :).
