The Monday Sept 29th Ecstasy cruise was late for embarkation due to the ship being late arriving. I talked to several passengers after sailing and some were notified not to get to the port before 3:30 pm and some were not notified. I never did find the reason the ship arrived late getting back to Houston. We got to the cruise terminal about 12:30 pm and were told to unload our luggage and given a map of nearby things, restaurants and such, and told to come back at 3;30pm. Luckily for us we got back a little before 3 and were able to park. We had to park in a grassy  area since the debarking passengers were not off the ship yet. The parking lot is very close to the terminal but not big enough for the situation at hand. We checked in and were in boarding group 2. We had to wait about 1 & 1/2 hours to board. CCL must have learned from past experiences since they were providing water and box lunches from Jason's Deli Some I talked to later did not get any water or food. I would guess that CCL ran out. They were still boarding passengers after 8pm and those people were very upset at having to wait so long without food or water. I know we were lucky to get on board when we did. I also know that the later boarders were very upset. This is just my musing on the situation and don't know why the later boarders were delayed. Oh yeah, they did give all the passengers a $15 OBC for the lunch we missed. We also made up the time going to Progreso and arrived on time..
