    Drinks alcoholic

Hey i'm going on my first cruise next year (carnival Miracle September 13th 2009) i was just wondering if they offered a soda card. Last cruise we went on was Royal carribean and they had a soda card that was something like $5-$10 a day and u got a soad cup. is there anything like that? Also are the alcoholic drinks Expensive?

thanks a head of time :-)

You can buy a fountain card for about 21.00, as for the alcoholic drinks, just don't get too tipsy and forget what you have ordered. Happy Cruising....

Yes they do, The soda card runs I think $40.for adults and $30 for kids on the 7 day cruise. Alcoholic drinks run around $5 to $8, Get the souvenir cup when you 1st board and you get it refilled for like $5  great deal. I sat in the jucuzzi with mine daily, Had a great time

The soda cards are a big money saver if you drink a lot of soda.  I would also buy the Carnival cup that they sell at the same time they sell the soda cards.  The Carnival cups are around $7 and much larger; that way you get more soda and don't have to go back as often.  They are also great at keeping your drinks cold!

Beer is $4.75 for most domestic brands. Miller Lite, Bud etc and comes in 16oz bottles. Other beer is available for slightly more. Mixed drinks & Drinks of the Day run from $5.95 & up. Also remember that 15% is added to all alcoholic drinks.

Can you order the cups w/out the card?  I mostly drink water from the Lido deck, but would like the cup as a souvenir.

    There are no tabs.

No frescas either, for that matter.

You pay for each drink as you get it.

You give them your sail & sign card every time you get a drink and that's your tab.

I bought the cup without buying the card....I use it for a coffee commuter mug since it has a "sippy" lid and is insulated.

You can buy the cup in the gift shop without buying  alcoholic drinks.  I believe you can use them for soda using your soda card.  I have quit drinking soda, my ankles swell like balloons, I stick to the iced tea.  When I did drink soda, we would bring it with in our luggage.  We probably saved over $100 on a cruise for the family.  I have taken as many as 40 cans aboard.  It wouldn't pay if you are flying in.  We usually drive to the terminal.

    Re: Drinks alcoholic

I am coming to Tampa the day before I sail in December.  I may have an opportunity to buy some cans or bottles of pop and bring on board.  Do I have to stash in my suitcase, or can I bring a soft sided cooler and carry on board?  I bought the Soda Card on last trip, but would like to save the money and bring my own.  Let me know a good way to bring on board.  Thanks!

Penny, The largest soft sided cooler Carnival allows is 12x12, which holds about 2-6 packs.  Anything over that, you can "stash" in your suitcase.

    Hope this helps, Ramona

    Re: Drinks alcoholic

Thank you.  That does help.  Now I just have to decide if it is worth packing the cooler and not buying the soda card.  I have my drink cup from other cruise which I assume I can still use.   The card is convenient when at a bar and you don't want to buy an alcoholic drink.  I would imagine a soda in the bar is about $3.00.  Thanks again for info.
