as with everything. once politics get involved the fun goes bye-bye lets get back to the basics #1 have fun!!! that was the purpose of the MHWC and only purpose. forget all this office $#!+ an djust get someone to handle the planning of the trip with one or two helpers no titles that for real gov't not fun lovin cruizzzzzzzzzers as we say we are.  now back to business of havin fun

 WOW you miss a few days and look what happens!!! 

O.K. I am one of the original MonkeyHeads and this group is all about having fun.  The original titles were more of a joke than a commitiment.  I think that one of the reasons some of the other original members disappeared was that, in a spirit of good cheer, they committed to doing things that turned out to be more work than they expected.  I know that when my life got complicated I felt that way, but I still enjoyed the fun of the group. 

We all need to get back to that fun!!! 

I don't think that Debbie's wish to organize was a bad thing if that is what we as a group want.  But apparently that is not what we want so we need to each be our own individual selves.

Yes, there are things we need to agree on like when the Dream Cruise is going to be.  I want as many MonkeyHeads on Jan. 23rd Dream Cruise as possible, I want to meet you all.  That doesn't mean that another Dream Crruise can't be planned for those that can't make the cruise in Jan. 

I am not anyones groupie!  I am my own person and I make my own decisions.  Maybe trying to book a group cruise isn't the best way to do things, maybe we each need to book our own cruises whether through Carnival or through Darrin.  As long as we can get together and enjoy each others company that is what is important.

Some of us have booked the 8:00 pm seating for dinner if you like this time than we can see about getting our tables together. If you like the early seating more power to you anyone at the early seating can see about getting their tables together. .  As we get closer to the cruise maybe some of us will want to do a beach break while others wish to swim with the dolphins GREAT!!  Let's enjoy each others individuality, and celibrate our differances, it's what makes our group fun!!

I think you are totally correct. The club was a lot of fun when we were all just a group of interested cruisers looking at being part of the Dream Cruise. Yes we did need someone like yourself to get a date picked so all the interested Monkey Heads Members could decide if they wanted to cruise or not. Thanks  again for the hard work you did. I don't think we needed any officers in this group but went along in the beginning until the arguing started and it became no fun to be around. Like you i just want to meet and greet and talk to as many Monkey Heads on the ship as i can. I look forward to having dinner and meeting you, your husband, Tom, Sioux and any others that join us on  the Dream. I could picture a bus load of Monkey Heads wondering onto Tabayana Beach in Roatan.

I have only been a member of this club for a month or so, but I have seen things that hamper and infiltrate most every club, and we have endured. I can only say that if someone has on their heart to coordinate a cruise for the members and sets forth and achieves that goal,"God bless their efforts", there need not be an officiating group over that. Applause, and thanks, to that person are well deserved. As for the rest of the remaining club members I have nothing but respect and honor for their commitment to a club meant from its beginnings to be fun and develop cruising friendships. I have a deep respect and desire to continue to communicate with the members of this club. Each one of you members take a round of applause from the hat as it comes your way because you all deserve the best for your tenacity through adversity. My MonkeyHead hat is off to you all.

Well, gee folks, hope you are having a great Tuesday morning.  As I sit here with my morning cup of coffee, I am celebrating the fact that after (6) months, I am finally able to walk again after my accident.  And I am one very happy, very grateful MonkeyHead.  And I cannot wait to make my "Dream" come true.  I am just so happy that I will be able to go on a "Dream" Cruise, I can hardly contain myself. 

I wish everyone well and hope to meet some of you on one of the future cruises on the "Dream" that we have all been planning.  I have enjoyed reading these boards, they have been very helpful to me and helped me pass my time while incapacitated.  And I love to cruise!!!  And I love people!!!!  Norman & I wish all of you well and maybe one day all our "Dreams" will become a reality.  "til then, Happy Sailing

I am sorry i didn't know you were injured or i would have wished you a speedy recovery before now. I am glad to hear that you are doing better now than you were 6 months ago. It's good news to hear you will be able to go on the Dream Cruise. Which one are you and Norm sailing on ? I am on the 1/23/2010 cruise and if you are there i hope to meet you both. I wish you the best in your continued improvement.
