    Layout/amenities in balcony quad cabin

    Hey -

Just wondering who might know how a quad balcony cabin is laid out.  Verandah deck, starboard side.  I know some state rooms have a small couch and an upper berth and others have a double couch.  Any ideas?

Also, are there small refrigerators in the rooms?  I'm guessing not.

Sailing on the Pride in 7 days!

We have always had a refrigerator and couch in our balcony cabins on the Pride.  Since I do not know what cabin you are in, I cannot tell you anything about it.  If you google or dogpile the info (Carnival Pride cabin # ____), you might find a picture of that actual cabin.

The refrigerators are stocked mini-bars.  If you are not planning to buy anything from the mini-bar, you can ask your cabin steward to remove everything for you.

PLEASE RETURN THE PRIDE TO LONG BEACH!!!

the pride is a spirit class ship and all state rooms have a mini fridge in it.  you should be able to check on the deck plan to find out how your cabin is set up.

Some links to posts on cruise critic that have pictures of a quad.  This is why I booked the Pride for my upcoming cruise with my kids.  The alternative was NCL quad and their rooms are so much smaller.  185 sf isn't too bad and gives you room to move around in the cabin.  All the pictures I've seen show the king bed for parents, a sofa that is made up to a bed and a pull down from the wall.

Thanks for all the links - I will check them out.

Our agent gave us the NCL option, but said that they have really gone downhill as far as service and food since Freestyle Cruising program was established.  Though, we cruised with them a few times years ago and really enjoyed it.  The Norway is so cool - huge.  We had a huge room on the Norway!

Now I just have to deal with the fight of which kid has to sleep on the pull down bed :)

We leave in 4 days - Woohoo!

Don't necessarily believe everything you hear.  Some people judge based on one persons opinion of one cruise that wasn't the greatest.  We know all the horror stories out there about how horrible Carnival is yet they seem to have full ship all the time.

I sailed NCLA in Hawaii before they pulled the last 2 ships out of HI.  I enjoyed my cruise a lot.  Heard lots of complaints about how bad the service was and many people said regular NCL foreign ships aren't bad just the American flagged ships.  People would say because American's are lazy and you get better service from foreigners.  I take all those comments with a grain of salt.  I enjoyed my cruise and would sail NCL again.  However, I feel Carnival has more to offer as far as cabins.  Their cabins, especially inside cabins, are much larger and more comfortable. I could have booked my next cruise on NCL for a little less $ but opted for Carnival because 4 people in a cabin on NCL would be wall to wall beds but Carnival has a much nicer setup with a lot more room to walk around.
