Five Star [5*] To Cruise or not to Cruise that is the question

To whom ever is reading this blog- I have traveled many times in my life, but this was the first time that I've felt like I've had a vacation.  No cell phones, no computer, no worries just peace thats VACATION.  The cruise option is truly great for anyone who wants to feel pampered 24hrs daily.  The staff were all top notch that my family and I encountered. Do yourself a favor and book a cruise, because it was the best choice I've ever made concerning vacation.  IF YOU CAN'T HAVE A GOOD TIME, THEN YOU ARE ONE BORING PERSON, AND I FEEL SO SORRY FOR YOU!

Re: To Cruise or not to Cruise that is the question

I booked my first cruise back in February on the Glory for October 11 for 7 glorious days.  I'm nervous but very excited.  I've been on car ferries but never been on a ship.  I really need this VACATIONBig Smile  I've been under so much stress that I need the different peace and quiet to pull myself back together.  I look forward to being pampered.

Don't be nervous, Kathy.  The Glory is a wonderful ship!!! The food is amazing and it's all great. We took our 4 kids on it last August and I have to get on it again - there were 2 restaurants I never made it to, if you can imagine!

Yes I said car ferry.  That has been the nearest thing to sailing on the water I have been in several years.  I know your laughing but that's OK, I know this trip is bigger than a car ferry.  But when the biggest thing I have been on to cross even the Chesapeake Bay has been the Cape May-Louise Ferry this will be a great exciting trip, one I'm looking so forward to.

    Hey Kathy,

Congratulations on your first cruise. You will relax in October. Seven days of not making your bed, not having to cook one meal, hanging out the pool and having someone bring you a drink of choice or absolutely nothing but relax if you want. Have a great time

    You will love cruising!

I did not realize that on other vacations - even when I thought I was taking it easy, I was planning the next meal for everyone, the next activity, keeping up with kids, and etc.   The Cruise Ship is like a Floating City with everything laid out and planned for you to enjoy - pick and choose and REALLY relax!  And it is that way for EVERYONE-- kids, Adults - guys, gals, etc. ---- IT IS WONDERFUL!!

I actually won my first cruise for a sales incentive -- and to think that if it wasn't for that, I don't know how long it would have been before I discovered the glory of cruising......

Kathy,  Cruisin is beyond words.......Cool.  Imagine time spent with no wories, cooks, waitstaff, housekeeping and good people all in one.  My friends and I will be on the glory also  we booked in february to and the time is finally here.  The last cruise I went on was in 04 on the fantasy and I had a ball.  be prepared to wish you could make time stand still.  Enjoy every minute and take lots of photos.  maybe we will meet, but if not I know you will have the time of your life......

    OK, true story....

When my wife went on her first cruise, we stayed at a hotel over looking Bayside in Miami (I can't remember the name).  When we got up the morning of the cruise, she looked out the window and was in awe of the size of the ship.  When I came over to the window, she was looking at one of the big yachts in the bay.  When I grabbed her head and lifted it up, she said "holy %^&*".
