Dunns River Falls - use Peat Taylor

If you want to go to Dunns River Falls avoid the Carnival excursion. Peat Taylor will take you up there much quicker and you will be amongst the first to climb the falls (which is a wonderfull experience). When youre done and return to the visitors center you will meet the long line of Carnival guests waiting in long lines!

After the falls he gives you a nice tour of Ocho Rios and the the area around it, tells you nice stories and even sings an occasional song.

Its a great tour and a nice guide for a decent price. They drive you in small mini buses which gives it a more personal touch than the big tour buses.

Also he was actually the one who mailed us and told us that Carnival had reversed the itinerary due to the storms and confirmed that he had changed the dates for the tour accordingly. We were never informed by Carnival about this...!?!

We also used Peat Taylor tours for our excursion from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios.  PJ (Peat's son) & Hainsworth picked us up at the ship terminal...they were standing there promptly upon disembarkation holding a sign with their name.  We were whisked out of the terminal quickly...ahead of the other large tour buses on an air conditioned mini-van.  They stopped at a small store along the way to Ocho Rios to let us get a Red Stripe!  We arrived at Dunn's River Falls BEFORE the parking lot was packed with giant tour buses.  We climbed the Falls with a small group & couldn't believe the number of people standing in long lines when we were done.  PJ & Hainsworth then took us to the Hard Rock Cafe, Ocho Rios & let me shop (I collect HRC souvenirs wherever I travel...a must stop for me!)...then took us to have lunch at Mamma Marley's Restaurant (Bob Marley's mom)!  After lunch, they walked us to the market & let us shop...following close enough behind us to make sure we were safe.  They knew exactly when it was time for us to head back to Montego Bay & informed us when we needed to leave...no problem mon...we arrived back in Montego Bay in plenty of time!  I would highly recommend Peat Taylor tours...you will not be disappointed.

We also used Peat Taylor tours on our visit to Ocho Rios. We could not have been more pleased with out trip. Peat’s son PJ was our guide along with Keith his driver. So pleasant and they took us wherever we wanted to go which included Dunn River Falls and tubing the river. For lunch PJ lead us to a beautiful restaurant with all you can eat food and all you can drink beer and wine for $15 per person. The personalized attention was one of a kind and I would recommend Peat Taylor tours to everyone in Jamaica! A real feel for the Jamaican lifestyle!
