Hi ~ just found this post.  We are sailing with you on the 28th ~ a group of 32 from New Jersey.  For many this will be their first cruise so for those of us who have cruised often, it will be so much fun to watch their excitement!!!

I'm getting so excited. This will be our second cruise. We're just wanting to get away and relax. We have no plans or expectations this time. Just spending time with each other and anyone else we meet. I'm hopeing as time gets a little closer to the date we'll have more replies.

there is nothing better than a first cruise!!!!!  We are a group of 32 and have probably 10 or 12 first timers ... each Friday I send them a tidbit about things that will help them have a blast ... like things to pack, things not to pack, excursions, getting on the ship, etc., etc., etc.  And each tidbit has a countdown ... as of today, only 79 days till we sail!!!  This is a great website, but also check out cruisecritic.com ... great posts and great photos of the Legend.

My husband and I will be on the cruise with our 21 yr. old son, his girlfriend, and my 17 year old daughter and her friend.  We are first timers and can't wait to go!

Re: Carnival Legend "New Years Eve" December 28th Sailing

I'm really surprised we haven't had more posts to this subject. I think we are more prepared for this cruise than our first. Our children are grown and for one reason or another could not come. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary and are so excited. We have a reservation to the Supper Club, and cant wait to see what New Years Eve brings. We are not big into the party scene, but are not apposed to partaking in the festivities. I have been discussing dressing up, and my husband is reluctant. He doesn't see why a tie and pants are not enough. He's afraid of folding his jacket. Like I don't know how to use an iron. We haven't settled on any shore excursions as of yet, but have been exploring our options.

Anyone cruising with us, let us know how you are preparing for the cruise and what you have planned. (No intimate details, please.Smile
