Rollcall for April 18 ...Liberty.   Speak up!!  I did this rollcall  months before my May 2008 cruise and met a bunch of great people. We had 15 friends before we even arrived, kept running into one another everywhere on the boat and on the islands.. It was incredible.  Walked into Margueritaville in Jamaica, there they were, primed and partying  hard.  If you are on this trip, introduce yourself. The fun you have will only be what you make it, and the more people, the merrier. :  ))

Anyone decided what to do in San Juan yet., This is the only port that I am confused about what to do. Nothing jumps out at me..or looks like much fun.

Welcome aboard!!  Glad to see someone else is going to be joining us!

 I don't plan any excursions when I go to the islands.  I learned a hard lesson one time, so I just play it by ear and figure things out once I get there.  I mainly like to shop and just take a taxi around the island.  With going to San Juan at night; I'm not real sure what there will be to do.  I do want to go on the island though, so maybe we can meet and go as a group?  I am not one to do things in small groups especially at night.

No, I haven't been to any of the ports of call wither. I think in ST Thomas and St Martin we are going to the beaches. They look beautiful, from the photos I have seen. crystal blue water and white sand beaches. Trunks bay in St John looks gorgeous!

When we were in Roatan this past april they had the most beautiful beaches I have EVER seen.. Absolutely breathtaking. I wish I knew how to post a photo of the beach there. but i am not real computer literate...

I will try and find the name of the website for you and let you know.. the website with the drydock info...

I don't usually go to the beaches when I go to the islands.  I tend to shop and mingle with the people.  I lived in Guam for 8 years so the beaches aren't what I go for.  I more go to the beaches when I end up somewhere like Calica or Progresso.

 This is our first trip on a big ship and doing a seven day so we are pretty excited!

Hi, Carlain  : )       Glad to hear from you.. looks like six people on the boat now. Sandra and I prefer to wing it in the ports also. We had a great time in Grand Cayman, Key West and 'specially in Ocho Rios.   The only thing I did not get to do was touch salt water. We walked on the beach in Fort Lauderdale the night before we boarded, but I just didn't quite make it to the water... this time or sure... :  ))  

   My parents live in San Antonio    : )   I am going to visit for a few days starting Oct 18.  I live about 50 miles NE of Atlanta, near Winder.   Looking forward to meeting y'all   : )

Inediaz: Thanks for the welcome.  Hope you enjoy your trip to San Antonio. SO you know what to expect fro weather in Oct...90's..ha.ha.. I am so tired of hot weather. Can't wait for some cooler fall weather...if it ever gets here!

Debbie: We have cruised on the Conquest [sister ship to Liberty] twice and loved the larger size. It is a little confusing to begin with. On two or three decks you cn't go from  front to back of the ship without going up/down stairs. But you will get the hang of it. We were on the Voyager last year and it is larger than the Conquest.. We love big ships.

 What I also love about the Conquest class ships are the photographers. We buy so many photows while onboard. Hundreds of dollars worthy. But well worth it. There is always one photo station set up that does the  "blurry" view photos. I guess you call them soft focus. ANywaym,they make us ladies look so nice. It completely gets rid of age/wrinkles/imperfections. I love it!!!

Thank you for the info on the ship.  I have been on other ships that have the floor plan where you have to go up/down to get to the next floor.  What we learned to do is just go to the first deck that we can go all the way through and then we are good to go. 

 I love the photographers on the ships.  We always to go all of the stations, because we have learned that everyone has a different way of taking pictures.
