THat stinks!~  Well your daugther is too old for my kis, but my sister is 19.  I'm sure all these kids and teenagers will be onbard!  Look for me, on boarding day, I and my husbadn will have on our MonkeyHead shirts....SeaChell and Bartman are on the back of them.  We wore them boarding day on our last cruise and meet all my POSTING friends while boarding and we all went to every show together and saved seat foreverone the whole week...it was GREAT!

Hey Sea Chell!  ok i realized i never answered your cruising in january...we have always cruised in january and it is awesome, the weather is fantastic.  my husband is a contractor so summers are always way to busy.  It has also turned into our parent getaway from the kids.  This cruise however, we are taking the kids because they ganged up on us.  tee hee  But January is a nice break and a great way to start a new year!!  hahaha  hope to meet you on the cruise!!!

hey all splendor cruisers, have any of you booked excursions yet?  i can't seem to get an answer from carnival about why only 2 of our 4 ports are showing so far?  does anyone know???  any suggestions of excursions?

Wow, that's a good question, the only excursion we are planning on taking is in St. Thomas and I'm not going through Carnival.  We were in St. THomas last year and I plan on going with Henry again this year...He gave us a 3 hour tour of the island and took us to the beach, all for $25 per person.  

Crusinlvrs, in response to your question about the excursion thing - I don't know why, but I'm glad it wasn't just people in our group that were having issues. However they just put up San Juan last night so we're just waiting on Nassau's excursions to come up... also I noticed they added more excursions to St. Thomas (like parasailing, which I'm really thinking about doing).

Can't wait! This will be a nice vacation :)

is this a tour company?  or a taxi driver?  sounds awesome.  the excursions are up for puerto rico now!  woo hoo  i am so readyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy  my kids are 6 and 8 and are more excited about the cruise than christmas right now.

YOur kids will LOVE Carnival!~  My kids were 8 and 10 on our first cruise and they had a ball...They Love Camp Carnival!~  My kids are only 12 and 10 now and when we were on Glory this past April, I NEVER saw them!~  Back at Camp!~  This will be our fist winter cruise, so not sure if there's lots of kids or not!~

Woo Hoo all the excursions are posted finally, i am so excited.  Thanks hollins2007 for letting us know, i had looked earlier today and was getting frustrated.  So does anyone have any suggestions about Atlantis?  is it better to go with carnival or on your own??  seems really high 152 per adult and 122 per child.  If you aren't going to do the water activites, can you use casino for free??  thanks and we are so ready for this cruise. 

I suggest go on your own...take the water taxie to Atlantis.  And yes you can use the Casino for free!  Other than the water slides, you can see everthing else on your own that you pay a tour guide for.

Bump Bump!~

My husband and I just decided to go on the Splendor on the 24th.  This is our 5th cruise and our first time traveling without a group or another couple.  The ship looks fabulous and I am getting really anxious. 

 As far as shore excursions go, we have been to Nassau, St. Thomas and Puerto Rico before...This year in Nassau we hired a taxi outside of the terminal and she took us for a tour, shopping, to the Atlantis all for $25 pp.  When we went to Nassau several years ago we went on the yellow bird (party boat) for about $30 and had the best time. All the rum punch you could imagine and a great time on the beach. 

 In St. Thomas, we went to out on a catamarran and had a great time.  Puerto Rico on the other hand wasn't much fun, because you don't get there until late.  But hopefully this time,I will get to see more of the city. 

 My husband is 38 and I am 32 and will be dining early (we love to indulge in the late buffets).

Ok, Sea Chell and others i am so ready for this crusie, it seems like forever!!!  haha, funny story, my 8 year old asked me how many days until Christmas and i thought for a minute, i said i don't know but there are 54 days until the cruise!!!  sad, lol.  wonder if that is considered bay parenting!!! lol  Can't wait
