I have never been offered a pillow menu. Perhaps for the suites?

Can everyone just take a big, deep, breath inSmile

You are supposed to be on vacation. If staff are not living up to the potential that you think you "deserve" then go to the pursers' desk and discuss the situation with them. If someone tells you to shut-up, speak to their manager.

Cruises are never going to be perfect for everyone...there are just too many people to please that it is an impossible task.

It sounds like you have some legitimate concerns that you ought to pass on (concisely and politely) to guest relations, just to let them know your experiences.

I did just this regarding my problem with ships security letting my 16 yr old daughter off of the ship by herself and carnivals respose went like this "your comments regarding minors getting on and off the ship, we rely on the gaurdian or chaperones of minors onboard to provide supervision"

Now tell me if I'm wrong but this basically says it your fault not ours....My child and I were unlucky enough to get seperated in the crush of people and I was in the line just several people back but the point was that we were not together and they did not check for an adult with her eventhough Carnivals guest services in Miami tells you if you ask that noone under the age of 18 that is not on a carnival supervised shore tour must be accompanied by an adult when leaving the ship

So I never mentioned the shut up of the fact that room service was an issue I made them aware of the biggest problem I had on board but its a simple matter of its your child and you should have kept an eye on them regardless of the fact that they were responsible for at least making sure that there was an adult in line with them somewhere..

My children did the same as your 16 year old, they too got off without supervision. I basically blamed my children because they knew better. I have been teaching my kids from day one, and we had the conversation before getting on the ship. I need to know where you are at all times. There is no getting off the ship without us, you know that conversation you have to have with the teenagers....So yeah i tend to agree with Carnival, its not their job to watch your 16 year old.  You want to trust your child and they need to earn the trust.   I took about 12 teenagers to an all inclusive when we were in Cancun.  Only 1 other set of parents came with us on this excursion, so most people put alot of trust into their teenagers.  By the time they are 16 they should know the RULES, if you know what i mean.  On the excursion, we left the teens swimming and snorkeling to go to the ruins, which was on the same grounds, but we were probably gone 45 minutes to 1 hour.  Came back and these kids were all drinking and acting like fools, doing beer bongs out of the snorkel tubes. We were supposed to be the supervision.  WE got back and talked to all the parents and no one blamed us for their teens actions.  In fact they all appoligized for us having to drag these kids back on board all tanked up.

I agree to a point MY DAUGHTER WAITED JUST INSIDE THE DOORS FOR ME TO CATCH UP TO HER I didn't blame her because we got seperated in line my concern was for the fact that what if some other child had gotten off unaccompanied and gotten hurt or was out to cause trouble thats why I specifiacally told carnival that the information given out by phone at their 800 number was very misleading but for those parents that dont control their children that line would be appropriate I told carnival I was back farther in the line excatly what happened in my case but thought they would like to know that miami is making claims that in this instance the ship was not following thar was all
