Luv2Cruise:Okay I am new at this whole cruisin' thing so I got to ask....what in the heck is a Monkeyhead and a DH and DOD??? I know I know i'm a rookie but the more i'm prepared before the cruise the smarter i'll be on it. Get my drift???
A monkeyhead is a carved coconut with a drink inside that you can get onboard your ship. When you are done with the drink, the coconut doubles as a coin bank. The Monkeyhead Wasters Club is for cruisers who buy these monkeyheads. They are very expensive and if you buy them you are considered to "waste" money.
DH = Darling Husband (or darn if you're upset)
You can also use DW, DS, DD (wife, son, daughter, etc.)
DOD = Drink Of the Day
It is a tropical/fruity drink that is served on the Lido deck at a reduced price (if you want to call it that). It can be purchased in a souvenir glass or the standard disposable cup. The DOD is different from day to day.
Good luck and happy cruising!
