SardisGrandma....I called my Carnival Personal Vacation Planner today to ask about the new TSA regulations....she told me everything is ok, from my cruise papers to my flight ticket.  Now that was a load off my mind........sure didn't need any BS when I checked in at the airport next friday.

hey, spoke with my daughter last night to see if she would be interested in going on the Dream sometime next year.....she said yes...perhaps even without a partner to keep her occupied....that doesn't sound good, now does it?  oops..........lol                         

when does the Dream sail for your cruise in May?

 I didn't think you would have any problems w/current plans Rob. Your trip all made prior to these new rules. I think Chassie is on the same cruise my daughter & I are on May 1, 2010 Western Carribean on the Dream.There are a few ppl on our roll call but hope it gets a lot busier before cruise.Morning, when does your Dream cruise set sail?Good luck on your cruise This next weekend Rob.

SardisGrandma....Hey, seeing as we are the same age, same birth month....that means you can't be my grandma, but we could hook up at dance the night, ok, maybe a few hours away.  You know, just fun to dance, have a drink or 2 and simply enjoy.

SardisGrandma..........I arrived in Orlando yesterday afternoon and made it to my hotel by the airport just before 2pm.  It rained like the sky just opened up....even had tornado warning!  So far no rain this morning...May 23 today and before long I will be on the hotel van back to the airport to catch the Carnival Bus to Port Canaveral.  Yes, my cruise day has finally arrived.  Wish you and all of our other Forum friends for the Glory and other ships could be together on a cruise.  Perhaps I might be able to join you on the Dream next May....will keep you informed as to the possibility of doing so.  Next weekend when I return home, I will write a review for all of you guys.  Until then,  it shall be happy sailing.

Im sorry it rained on ya yesterday.... I hope that was a thing of the past... It's sccheduled to rain all week here in NE Ohio...  Have lots of fun, and please return with great stories to share... You know next yr you are more than welcome to join us aboard the Pride May 2010...

I'm 40 and never been married or engaged! I've also had many losers! I'm happy and content on my own and if it's meant to be, I will meet the man of my dreams. My son is 15 and hangs out with his friends a lot more now and I'm sure it's going to get worse next year when he can drive. So hopefully when the time is right we will both have good men in our lives but until then, just enjoy life! I'll be on this cruise (June 6th, the Glory) with my son, brother, sister and their kids and my brother in law so we have each other to hang out with. But any singles on this cruise, you are more than welcome to come hang out with us! Don't be shy. We are a fun bunch!

Yes.. we are all very much fun!  he!   Hey sister!  9 more days until our cruise!!!  Yahooooooooo!!!!  I am looking sooooo forward to going away and not having a care in the world!   Getting away from the same ole' same ole'!  We will be on the deck in 9 days with a ta ta in our hands!!

I have been on many cruises, on other cruise lines.  However I did not attended the singles Meet & Greets but some of my friends did and they ALL seemed to enjoy themselves.  I am booked the Inspiration10-24-09  Single and solo. I hope there are some fun ladies onboard. I love to dance and hang out at the bars. After reading these posts I am not sure if I shoud go?  Maybe I should bring someone along? I would hate to waste 5 days  watching couples dance and enjoy themselves!  I am 6'4" 200# trim and fit. & middle aged . 

Bring someone along if you like, but you should have no problem finding someone to dance & hang out with.  Just ask one of the many ladies who are unescorted in the dance lounges if she would like to dance, and have a great time.  Statistically women outnumber men on the cruise ships by a lot.  

We took our 25 year old son on a cruise for his college graduation a few years ago, and he loved it even though he didn't know anyone except us at the start. In fact, he liked cruising so much he's going alone again at the end of November (couldn't get any friends to commit). He went to the singles game show on the first cruise and had a good time. He thought the couples match game was kind of off; however, he did meet a few people his age to hang out with, which is what he was hoping for. It's too bad many people view the get togethers as something more than a meet & greet and don't end up attending. 

I'm cruising the Imagination on Jan 18th- my 40th birthday!!!

 

Taking my 14 year old daughter (only one left at home) and we are both going to be 'alone' at our activities.  She makes friends fast and I do, too.

 

I've spent the past 10 years doing things by myself but I must say this is the first time I've taken a cruise w/o other adults.

 

 

OMG, do people really go on cruises to try to hook up? I've been on several cruises but never encountered anything like that. I am traveling alone on the Dream 4/3/10. I posted a roll call but I am hoping to meet "people" to dine, dance, & hang out. I hope I don't have to have my antenna's up the whole time. Have a great time on the cruise and if you wanna dance with someone just ask.
