    Casino question

My grandma, who is sailing in my group, wants to know if coins can be used at the slot machines in the casino. She's willing to use her S&S card but prefers using coins for that classic casino feel.

i've tried to find the answer online but does anyone know 100%?

On all the cruises we have been on, the machines we have played took US coins and bills.

Unless it has changed recently they still use coins, as well as bills.

The cruises I've been on have even had penny slots.

    Re: Casino question

You don't HAVE to use your S&S.... And, if you do.... you can get quarters from it.. You stick your S&S in the machine, hit debit S&S, put how much money you want on it... and then when it's done.. you can hit ""cash out"" on the machine and all the quarters will come flowing out.

    Re: Casino question

you will be able to use cash coins or your sign and sale they have also started to use a player bank this allows you to keep your winnings on your s&s card instead of caching out and carriing a bucket of coins around and you can pull from it for the whole cruise as well as cash it out at the cage before the cruise is finnished IE you put in 20 and you have money left you simply press a button on the maching that says to player bank enter a pin number you set up transfer amount and take your card out....come back later put your card back in and press from player bank start with the money you ended with last time no more adding money till its gone also if you play 1, 2, or 5 cent slots (there are several differnts multi denominational slots on board that you can select play amount on) they pay in quarters so any odd amounts they wont pay out you can add them to the bank and keep adding and get a final cash out last night of cruise before the casino closes..sounds difficult but its real easy staff will help the first time if needed......make sure you check the machines I found out the hard way that if they sit for too long not used the denomination will revert to nickle slots so keep an eye on it if you take a break...tell your grandma they even had a few that you could still pull the handle if you wanted....have fun

    Re: Casino question

Does anyone know if Carnival charges a surcharge for using your S&S in a slot machine?  The reason I ask this is because I play Roulette & Craps using cash,  I have noticed people coming to the table wanting to use their S&S card for play.  The Dealer informs them there is a 3% surcharge for getting a cash advance to play.

We're getting married docked at St Thomas, on the ship's chapel but through the outside company that's affiliated with Carnival. One has to use this company whether you get married on or off the ship.
