    Noise in staterooms

How quiet are the individual staterooms on the Paradise?  Are you fairly isolated from noise inside, with the door closed?  Can you hear walking, running, talking, laughing from the halls?

I'm not so concerned, but I don't want the hubby woken up at 3:00am by drunks running in the hallway or the adjoining cabin.  For comparison, it's generally not an issue for him in a 2 star or above hotel on land.  But put him near a window overlooking a parking lot with cars banging doors and people acting loudly, and you gots yourself a Mr. Grumpyjeans!

    Re: Noise in staterooms

We've had noise through the door on all cruises.  You won't hear footsteps since the halls are carpeted.  (Caveat, we've never cruised on the Paradise so can't say with certainty it's halls are carpeted although I suspect they are.)

We have heard kids running and certainly can hear the loud mouth drunks laughing and "talking."

On one cruise we made the mistake of booking a cabin across from a laundry room, not knowing at booking that there WAS a laundry room there.   A certain type of people did their laundry nightly, in the middle of the night.  That did drive us crazy.

If there are loud noises from the next door cabins you can call security.

Overall though it's not bad (other than aforementioned laundry incident) and it's never been bad enough for us to complain to anyone.  It's just part of the scene of living closely to many others.

I'll be going on my first cruise next month so I can't really answer your question.  But, whenever I go on vacation I always throw in my ear plugs!  I'm a light sleeper and being away from home and in a strange bed always seems to make the situation worse.  Ear plugs work wonders!  Thow in a pair for your husband and he'll wake up a Happy Camper!Yes

I have never really had a problem from the cabins next to me but you do hear the people walking and talking down the hallways if they are not making at least a small effort to be quiet.

I once made the mistake of  booking a vabin that had "nothing" on one side of it, turns out it was the stewards pantry and those guys are quite noisy! hehe

    Re: Noise in staterooms

I just returned from Paradise and my room, M148 was well insulated. I did not hear any talking or doors closing from the hallway and my room was next to the elevators. Around 7am I did hear some muffled noises that sounded like cables on a flagpole on a windy day.
