    smoking??

     i was told by my father that smoking is allowed in carnival stateroms is this correct im not a smoker but if it is true will the smell still be there???

    I am not 100%, but I do not believe smoking is permitted in the staterooms. There are designated smoking areas in certain lounges or on decks. However, if you have a balcony cabin.... you can smoke out there... I would think.  I am sure it's not nice at all to throw your smokes down or with the wind since there are other cabins next or below you. If you do not have a balcony cabin.. I am sure you will have to go to the designated areas.  I think at one time for the older ships they did allow smoking.Anyone from Carnival can answer that question for you. I think it is listed even under their FAQ's. I will try to find it for you.

    Yes, smoking is allowed in the cabins, but they use VERY effective cleaners in between cruises - you'll never smell leftover smoke from a previous occupant of your cabin.  Watch out around the casino, though - it's like being in downtown LA on a bad day!
