kids and the elation kids club deal

ive been cruising on carnival for the last few years mostly to ensenada from long beach. but this year we decided to take the family on a cruise to cabo as my boys have been wanting to go with us.

i just wanted to hear some expieriences with the kids club or the kids staff on the boat.

    my kids are 7 , 5 and 10 months

also do they have in room babysitting for the evening. also what about taking or leaving them on the ship for mexico.

i am taking my mom with us to help with the babysitting but my older boys are gonna want to go into the kids club

we are taking the elation to cabo on aug 14th in 3 days wooohoooo

We just returned from this cruise July 31st.  My boys were 12 & 13, so a little older, but they did the Circle C club.  Camp Carnival is the ones your boys would do and I think they will find it very enjoyable. Also, just outside the room is a monitor where you can see the kids in there playing.  If you're interested in how it's working for them.  I didn't discover that until the last day.  We had fun watching, even though we didn't really need to.

I don't think there is any babysitting available when in port, so unless you leave your kids with your mom, I wouldn't leave the ship without them.  I think you'll be fine taking them to Mexico with you, I wouldn't have had a problem with my kids had they been younger.

Depending on your kids, there is a lot of shopping and places to eat right at the port.  Unless you do an excursion, there's not much else. I can't remember what excursions are for the younger kids, the ones we did there was age restriction of 8 years.  But I do remember a Coastal tour of some sort in Ensenada that included some shopping as well.  Sorry can't make any first hand experience suggestions on excursions. But it's easy enough to leave and come back to the ship should your kids get tired.  Also we were on the ship some while in port and really enjoyed the quietness on board. You're going to have a great time!!

we are taking our kids with us into Cabo, thinking about doing the Lands End Boat, Beach and Shopping Excursion.  As that is one that allows the younger ones to go, we have 3 kids, a 16 year old daughter and 13 and 6 year old sons.

    Hope to see you there!

looks like we have a friend i havent seen in like 5 years that lives in cabo so i talked to him and he suggested going to cabo wabo cantina and to " the office" on the beach so it looks like that is our plan. we dont like the whole excursion thing we like to just wing it and make our plan as we go

We are cruising for the first time on 12/13/08 on the Elation from San Diego to Cabo and Ensenada.  We will be taking our three kids ages 8, 4, and 2 with us and I was wondering how is went with your kids?  Also, does the ship rock a lot or did that seem to affect your kids?  We are excited and are trying to get as much info as possible on things that were good (or not good) about taking the kids with us.  Thanks!

My kids are older now, but I did take them when they were 7-9 y/o. They absolutely loved Camp Carnival. On the Elation they have a webcam set-up outside of Camp Carnival and you can stop by and "peek" in to see how things are going if you want.  This year my kids did Circle C Club and they liked it.  We still could look in with the webcame also when we wanted. I love cruising with my kids, I think it's the best vacation all the way around, because there is something for everyone.
