 Some of us have a Meet & Greet planned on the first day and we would love to have you  join us.  We are meeting about 2:30 at the Pizza area at the back of the lido deck, some of us are wearing chili pepper necklaces, not the guys though!!  If you want more info you can join our roll call on cruisecritic.com, it's a free site too.

Congratulations!  I'm ready to go too.  Have you see what is developing tonight in the Gulf?  I'm sure glad our cruise isn't next week.  Let's keep praying for the weather.

I pray that the weather in the gulf dissapears and dies out and that no weather throughout the month of September causes any disturbances in the Gulf or around  Mexico.  In Jesus name Amen!!!!

Looks like we all need to keep praying.  Poor folks leaving this coming week.  It will be interesting to see what Carnival does.   Where in Louisiana are you from?  I used to live in Bossier City.

I've never been there.  Was wondering why you were cruising out of Galveston instead of N.O.  Now I see why.  Hope you guys are ok.  Just heard on the weather that right now they are forecasting the hurricane to hit near N.O.  We have friends from there and I'm sure they are getting very nervous about their families.  We also have a son and daughter in law in Gulport, MS.  She is expecting in January.  I'm ready for them to come home till this is gone, he won't be able to though.  He's in the Navy.  Who knows though this far out they are really guessing.  We'll keep y'all in our prayers for sure.  

I hope that approaching Gustav goes to the East but it looks like it's going towards the West.  The Weather Channel is saying the coastal US areas where it's likely to hit may possibly see something by this Saturday or Sunday.  Hopefully all those cruising that weekend (I think the 4-day leaves on the 28th and is scheduled back on the 1st of Sept) make it back in safe.  Well, ships probably have a better tracking system and no how to get around it if it does approach while they're out.  Thank goodness boats can steer!!!! 

I really do hope this Gustav just decides really to tire itself out and go away.
