My 2 kids age 17 and 12 are going on this as a christmas present to ourselves.. Is there anyone else jouining us !!

hey there!....coming from san francisco.....myself (3rd time cruiser), my 18yo daughter (she was 2yo when she last cruised) and 15yo son (1st time cruiser)....and my mother (2nd time cruiser)....extremely excited to go......CANT WAIT!!

definitely....im planning to arrive early so we can have lunch on the lido.....what time do you plan on arriving??..........jennifer

probably about 11 or as early as we can.  We can see the ship from where we live so it only taked 5 minutes to get there

WOW!....its like having door-to-door service!....."Mom, the ship's here....gotta go!".....

our flight arives at 11....i guess we're taxi-ing over.....my daughter's dormmate is from san diego....she tells me she is like 5-10min away from the port......i take it the airport is near by???.....anyways, would it be best that i taxi over 'cause there are 4 of us and our luggage and carry-ons....or would it be better to get transfers through carnival.....and get to the port that way....what do you recommend???

The airport is basically right there.  I think you would be OK in a taxi.  I know they have the vans that they take from the airport to the terminal.  As long as you are flying into the big San Diego airport it is actually 2 or so miles and I thikg Carnival would charge alot for a very small ride.  If I had a bigger car I would pick you up, we go right by there.  I will ask some question around town and see what people have done before and let you know.  It am so excited 40 days

thanks for your help....it is very much appreciated.....now, just to find an SUV taxi....'cause i know we are definitely NOT going to fit in a sedan.....

OK it's just since I booked so long ago that it used to be easier to round it off...

   We flew into San Diego and took a cab.  It is a short distance and the cab was reasonable.It was last July and I can't remember the exact amount....I'm guessing maybe $8 to $10.  Much less than other options.  We got there in a short amount of time.  I remember seeing the Elation as our plane landed.
