Did you know about the New Orleans port???

it is closed due to an oil spill..now ships will sail out of Mobile, when this will change I don't know..

The Fantasy sailed from Mobile today.

Now whether they will get to come back to New Orleans on Saturday is anyone's guess.

The barge started leaking oil again when they tried to move it the middle of last week, which closed off part of the River again.

Btw, hubby's co-worker was on the last cruise and they had a blast. This was their first cruise and they said except for a little inconvenience....they could not have had a better cruise.

They are hooked!!!

Hubby- 9 Carnival Cruises starting in 1982.

We got back today from the Fantasy cruise. The bus ride was not fun. The cruise was so much fun. I sure wished we could have returned to N.O.

cruizinpapa was there a band called the" Music Highlights" on the Fantasy. They are from the Philippines and the drummer sings. How was the ship? I am thinking of booking a cruise the 1st of Sept.

The Fantasy is cruising through Sept 1st from Mobile.

After that, it goes into drydock. When it comes back in October...hopefully everything will be back to normal.

BTW, if folks are driving CHECK WITH YOUR TA OR PVP ....Carnival is directing them to DRIVE TO MOBILE. Carnival buses will only be picking up folks from the N.O. airport after this cruise.

Hi Pam ,

There is a band called Music Motion from the Philippines that has a female drummer that also sings. I am not sure if this might be the band you are looking for? This band i believe is still on vacation in the Philippines. There is also a band currently on the Conquest called The Highlights. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise.
