    Hotels/Flight

I am thinking about booking a flight and hotel at expedia. I have found a roundtrip flight for 2 plus one night stay at a NICE hotel for about 830. Is That a Good Price? I have never flown before Im leaving from Gulfport, Mississippi And Flying To Ft Lauderdale.. I Think The Hotel Name Is Fort Lauderdale Grand Hotel It Looks Really Nice Any Help Or Advise Will Be Very Much Appreciated! Thanks

Amanda, Also check the airlines and hotel seperately. I actually saved a couple hundred dollars direct booking through Delta and Comfort Suites over what Expedia (which was the cheapest on line price) wanted for the trip. Personally I like to book each leg independently when feasible, because if there is a problem with one leg, then you have less hassle making the necessary changes.

New to cruising but an old hand at traveling and (ashamed to say) used to work for one of the airlines.

    Hope this helps some

Amanda, in addition to Expedia, check Cheaptickets.com, as well as the airline and hotel websites. The Ft Lauderdale Grande is a great hotel, owned by Hilton Hotels, I'm told. It was previously a Marriott property and has been refurbished.Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport is about 4 miles from the hotel, and the hotel is directly across from Port Everglades pier. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the immediate area, and Ft Lauderdale beach is about 2 miles away.

I think $830 air & 1 night hotel for two people sounds good.
