Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if you guys could provide some tips - things to bring - things to do - or NOT do while on the cruise? Any tips/info would be helpful. I'm going on a 7 day cruise to the Western Carribbean if that helps.
TIA!
Rule #1 - Don't fall overboard..... (sorry, I can be such a smartass )
Bring a power strip as there is only one outlet in the room. Make sure you pack at least two nice outfits for the two formal nights on a 7day. Don't be afraid to poke around the ship! You'll find some of the best views and most private places by doing this, mainly because many people won't.Rule #2 - Have FUN!!
Do not overpack (we were on a seven day cruise in March and brought home one entire suitcase full of clean clothes) try to mix and match and remember you can wear shorts & pants more than one time. Make sure to split your clothes between each suitcase that way if one suitcase gets lost you each will have some clothes.
Make sure that you go to afternoon tea (very nice)!
Number 1 is to remember that not everything is going to perfectly. When something goes wrong try to remember that only you can let it ruin your cruise. If things start to get over whelming just take a deep breath and go on. Once you have been on one cruise it will be easier to go on more.

Hi,
Things to do:
Relax--Have fun--Check out the shows at night--Try some new foods for dinner--Catch a sunrise at sea one morning--Pack comfy walking shoes--Have a frozen Margarita in Cozumel--Swim with the stingrays in Grand Cayman--24 hour pizza--24 hour soft ice cream--Check out mid-night buffet-(If you don't eat the table displays and ice carvings are a must see).
Things to not do:
Don't listen to all the negative things you will read on these sites--Don't get suckered into the spa treatments--Don't forget your med's--Don't forget sunscreen--Don't forget to have a blast of a first cruise--Don't forget to put all cruising paper work, plane tickets and passports together the night before.
If you are flying in to the Port plan to spend the night before the ship sails. Takes the worry out of of airline delays and you are more relaxed too!!
Do--Have fun!!! Have a drink!!! Relax!!! Play BINGO!!!
Don't--Forget to have fun!!! Forget to have a drink!!! Forget to relax!!! Forget to play BINGO!!!
THE BIGGEST DON'T IS-- DON'T LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVITY FROM SOME OF THE POSTERS ON THIS SITE. JUDGE FOR YOURSELF!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
