We are sailing on the 11/09/08 cruise San Juan we will be porting at a different location each.  I would appreciate feed back on any of the excursions good or bad.  Thanks!!!!

I'll be on the Victory out of SanJuan in Jan.  The Island Hopper.  I've been looking at the Excursions on Carnivals webpage.  I found some that seem really great.  I can't wait.

Hi JudyD, it sounds like you will have an exciting 2008.  My husband and I and another couple will be on the Carnival Victory 11/09/08 we can't wait.  We choose this cruise,  also because we will be at a different port each day.  We have cruised in the past once with carnival and once with another cruiseline.  I have reviewed the excursions on the webpage your right they sound fantastic,  we also to get personal reviews. The other couple that is going with us went on a cruise several years ago and they weren't impressed, so I'm going to try to make this cruise a fun and relaxing cruise for them.  I'm sure I'll have no problem!!

I have a group on this sailing as well, and I've been counting down the days!

Another option for locating items of interest is checking the websites of each Island we will be visiting. What I've been doing is going to each islands website and checking for all activities available at that location they may interest us. My big thing this cruise is locating scooter rentals on each island...(something new this trip)

we have tried using the excursions but find they limit our ability to see the island as you end up in one sport. We have been renting cabs at the pier and this way and we not only see more of the island but we have the opportunity to do/see much more while in port.  You can spend some time at the beach and if you're lucky you end up with a really knowledgable cabbie and a more personal tour of the island.

Hi Mavis,  Thanks for the information that sounds like a great idea.  This is only our third cruise so we are new at this.  What about safety on any of the islands?  I know when we went on our first cruise on one of the islands they warned us not to go anywhere unless we were on one of the ships excursions (I'm thinking it was St. Lucia, but I can't remember)  Would any of these islands fall into that catagory?  Thanks again for you information you've been very helpful.

Safety has not been an issue. the cabbies know what parts of the island are safe!
