I heard that on Carnival, the pool on top of the ship, the one that is adult only is a topless pool? Does anyone know if that true? I am going on the Paradise ship? Should I send my hubby to check it out? LOL

ok I have been on 2 ships this will be my 3rd and NO top Less Pool they did have a Top Less Tanning area!!! and that was on the top deck and the sign reads No kids allowed and NO cameras!

I too have never heard of a topless pool.  Just remember topless isn't always pretty!

my parents went up there once on the first cruise and will never go back, they didn't know at first what it was i bet they were suprise, my day said there were people just walkin topless and tanning topless, n the elation there was a pool up there but was small

I was on Paradise in June and they don't have a topless area anymore.  So sad.

about a year ago they did away with the topless decks on all ships.... 

There was on Ecstasy in '96; unused due to high winds.  There also was on Miracle in '05 -- or at least there was a topless chick on Miracle in '05.

There was not on Glory in '07 [that I saw], nor on Legend two months ago.

The other two boats I was on ... dunno.

They are doing away with all topless decks on all the ships. Some of the older ones that have not gone into dry dock to get their renovations might still have one. I have never seen a topless pool. The topless deck use to be the highest deck (small) that was around the funnel.  There was only one set of stairs and it was clearly marked, "Topless Deck - 21 and over, NO Cameras or recording devices".

Can one sunbathe topless on a balcony cabin?

You can sunbathe totally nude on a balcony, but be aware that your neighbors can look around the divider and see you.  Also, depending on which ship you're on, there may not be sun on the balcony and there ALSO may not be enough room.  Best cabins for sunbathing are the aft cabins on some of the larger ships - they're cantilevered so that the one above doesn't completely overhang the ones below and they're also deeper than the side cabins.  You can even ask your steward to bring you a lounge chair but better do it early on or they'll run out of them (be sure to tip him more if he does this!)   Only problem with this type balcony is the people ABOVE you can look over the rail and see you.  Awesome cabin though - great views and close to the lido buffet.

Be careful some ships have cameras position to watch some of the balconies. The reason I say this is because several months back a lady from NJ fell off her balcony and the statement the cruise ship made after it happened was something to the effect "that after viewing the tapes from the camera was that the lady was trying to climb from one balcony to another one where some of her friends were."
