    alchol

I have seen a lot of posts about bringing wine onboard are we allowed to bring any other type of alchol?  Has anyone ever taken other alchol besides wine onboard?

I have taken Bailey Irish Cream on board, but I put it in a Thermos. If I drink more than 1 bottle during the cruise I usually get another bottle in a port of call.

Yes - you can bring one bottle of wine or champagne per adult 21 years of age or older.

Alcohol can not be brought "openly" onboard.

Does anyone know the average price of mixed drinks onboard?  We were planning on sneaking in some Blue Margaritas.  Any thoughts on this?

    Re: alchol

From what I have been reading, dont try and bring alcohol in your carry on (hard liquor that is).  Most people post that if you put it in your checked bag, you stand a pretty good chance of getting it on board.

    Good luck on your mission

Drinks onboard are very expensive we did take some onboard in our checked luggage but that was almost more trouble than it was worth because everytime  you wanted a drink you had to go back to your room.  I wish they would sell an allinclusive that included alchol.

    Re: alchol

    Stefan,

Here is a website you can go to to get an approximate price list for a variety of alcoholic beverages served on board:

    http://www.seauonboard.com/

Go to Cruise 101 - The Basics, and then click on Beverages and Alcohol.  Scroll down the page and you will se a price listing there.  The prices were last updated in March of 2008, but should be relatively close to what may be being charged now.  Hope this helps.

The prices I have seen on the website are pretty good compared to some of the places I gave vacationed at in the past.  But everything is relative I guess.....We just got a $100 OBC for a price reduction for our cruise...so guess where that is going to go (grin).   Beer  Drinks

You beat me to it :).

I think I read somewhere that the prices went up a little but the prices on the site should give you a pretty good idea.

    Cheryl,

My "hats off" to you and the other folks who contributed to creating the SeaUonboard website and other links I found there.  Being a "newbie" to cruising it was refreshing to see the amount of information provided for everyone.  It has been most helpful to us in preparing for our first ever cruise.  I try to pass on the gold nuggets to other folks so they can benefit as well.

Thanks again and keep up the great work.

Why thank you.  I couldn't have done it without everyone sharing their information along the way.  I'm always looking for new ideas for the site.  Right now I need to get in there and do some maintenance - I have some broken links.
